Ch 157: Little Teacher Shen
Tang Si: “Notify all team members currently not on assignment to assemble in the classroom for studying.”
After he sent out this message, several groups simultaneously received the same message.
At this moment, everyone at the Special Management Bureau, except for team members on assignment, regardless of whether they were training, idle, or even not currently at the Bureau, was notified.
The classroom Tang Si designated for the assembly was also a place where other teachers usually taught; it was the largest classroom, capable of accommodating around three hundred people at once.
“What’s going on? Didn’t our Bureau fall out with those Sects, and didn’t all those teachers leave?”
The first team, which had just finished a mission outside the Special Management Bureau last night, also received the message, and their instructor was quite insistent.
“Don’t want to go. Anyway, even if those guys are in the Bureau, the things they teach are just superficial; it’s the same old stuff over and over.”
A young man, with a blade of grass in his mouth, rested his arms behind his head, his voice somewhat flippant.
“Rather than repeatedly studying the knowledge he’s already taught, I’d rather use these credit points to exchange for cultivation materials and cultivate myself.”
“The instructor said this teacher is special; let’s go back and see.”
Many others shared their sentiments; most people in the Bureau disliked the teachers sent by the Cultivator Sects.
Because they not only looked down on the Bureau’s personnel, but their teaching was also perfunctory.
If it weren’t for someone holding them back, they would have wanted to fight those people long ago.
But this message stated that all team members not on assignment must be present.
Previous classes weren’t this mandatory.
Though many were reluctant, they still gathered in the lecture hall.
Soon, the largest lecture hall had already gathered more than two hundred people.
Of course, the number of team members who truly possessed special abilities was less than fifty; the others were from Noble Families selected through special means or elite military personnel.
Although they didn’t have special abilities, their weapons were modified, and their skills were good. When facing Strange Creatures, teamwork within squads could lead to kills.
Usually, everyone trained in small squads, rarely gathering together like this.
Right now, everyone was curious about what exactly had happened in the Bureau, discussing amongst themselves in their respective squads.
Among these people, only Qin Zhen and a few others who had previously gone on the Flying Corpse mission knew.
But they didn’t say anything.
Soon, Tang Si arrived with his team members, and the Old Goat-Bearded Daoist went up to the podium.
“Everyone, be quiet! Today, we’ve invited a teacher to the Bureau. She has no teaching experience, so this is a trial run. Don’t cause any trouble and drive her away; you’ll be in big trouble if you do!”
The Old Daoist warned the group of young people. Don’t underestimate them; although the Bureau is small, many of its members have strange personalities.
There are even a few lunatics.
Real lunatics. And their abilities are not weak; the mental hospital couldn’t contain them, so they were brought here. They often cause trouble with other team members.
Tang Si also gave a few instructions, then had Shen Zhiyin brought in.
When the team members in the classroom saw the little child walking in carrying a baby bottle, their expressions were emotionless, their gazes following her movements.
At that moment, the classroom fell deathly silent.
Shen Zhiyin was too short; she needed to stand on a stool to see the students clearly.
“Hello, I am your teacher, Shen Zhiyin.”
The young girl on the stool introduced herself in a soft, tender voice.
Then, amidst an awkward silence, Qin Zhen, along with Tang Si and the Old Goat-Bearded Daoist, began to applaud.
Others: …
So, the higher-ups in their Bureau have finally gone insane.
Old Daoist: “Everyone applaud! Don’t just sit there like dead people!”
Sparse, perfunctory applause rang out; several people with bad tempers wanted to retort.
Fortunately, they were held back by their teammates.
Shen Zhiyin didn’t know how to start teaching, so she simply took out her talisman-drawing tools.
“Then, today I’ll teach you about the most commonly used attack talisman: the Flame Burst Talisman.”
Everyone: “???”
The most commonly used attack talisman?
Why hadn’t they heard of this name?
Is it the same as the Fire Talisman?
Before everyone in the classroom could react, Shen Zhiyin, holding the writing brush, swiftly drew a Flame Burst Talisman in two strokes; the whole process didn’t take more than ten seconds.
Then, she held up the talisman to show them.
“A Flame Burst Talisman is actually composed of several different runes. It looks complicated now, but it’s easy to draw once it’s broken down.”
“First, let’s look at this part. This part of the runes mainly gathers Fire Spiritual Energy.”
Shen Zhiyin pointed to a section of the runes, but the talisman was too small; probably not many people below could see it clearly.
They needed a blackboard.
So Shen Zhiyin fumbled around, took out a small peachwood sword, tossed it to the ground, and the tiny figure directly stepped onto the peachwood sword and flew towards the blackboard.
Regardless of the talisman’s attack power, her sword flight ability directly shocked many people into standing up.
“That, that’s…sword flight?!”
None of them in the Bureau, including Tang Si, could perform sword flight!
The Old Goat-Bearded Daoist stroked his goatee: “Everyone be quiet! Didn’t you hear Teacher Shen lecturing? Pay attention!”
Those who previously thought the Bureau was being absurd and disdained Shen Zhiyin now looked at her with fervent eyes.
Of course, most of them were filled with disbelief.
She was only a few years old, yet she could perform sword flight!
Few people in those arrogant Cultivator Sects could perform sword flight.
Shen Zhiyin wasn’t affected by them; she used an electronic stylus to draw what she wanted to teach on the electronic blackboard.
“The Flame Burst Talisman can be divided into three runes: one, the Fire Rune that gathers the Fire Element Spiritual Energy of Heaven and Earth; two, the Compression Rune; and three, the Spirit-Locking Rune. Finally, arrange them in order on a Yellow Talisman, and that forms the Flame Burst Talisman…”
Shen Zhiyin explained very seriously; after separately breaking down and drawing the different runes, she finally drew the Flame Burst Rune again.
“The necessary materials are: properly cut Yellow Talismans, Cinnabar, Beast Blood. If you can get the blood of a Spiritual Beast with the same attributes, the effect will be better.”
But that was just talk; there aren’t many Spiritual Beasts to be seen, so where could they get Spiritual Beast blood?
“I think I understand.”
Watching Shen Zhiyin’s explanation, the eyes of several team members grew brighter, and they even started drawing in their notebooks.
The teachers from the Cultivator Sects had also taught talismans, but they only pasted the finished talismans on the blackboard, then talked endlessly about the talisman’s origin, background, and function, before leaving the students to practice on their own.
They never broke down the runes and explained them like Shen Zhiyin.
