Ch 125: Venus
As the warship drew closer to Venus, enormous metallic cloud formations floated above it. These clouds were formed from extremely fine metallic particles, and under the sunlight, they refracted a dazzling array of colors, as brilliant and splendid as a flowing, magnificent painting. When these metallic cloud formations collided, they would trigger a strong electrostatic reaction, instantly producing dazzling sparks, and then forming breathtaking golden thunderstorms. The golden lightning, like giant serpent dragons, darted wildly through the clouds; each bolt contained the immense and boundless Metal Law, a power that seemed capable of tearing apart the void, making one tremble with fear.
A surging wave of heat suddenly struck, and the temperature inside the warship soared, as if they were in a scorching hot furnace. Huang Tianrui hastily pressed a button, and a water-blue ice crystal, the size of a hen’s egg, instantly appeared on the cockpit ceiling. A coolness spread like ripples, and the unbearable heat gradually dissipated. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, feeling much more comfortable.
Through the cockpit’s windshield, the entirety of Venus could be clearly seen. Everywhere were continuous, towering mountain ranges and uneven hills, without a trace of vegetation, a desolate and bleak scene. Volcanoes erupted from time to time, and the scalding magma shot out wildly like runaway horses, carrying a terrifying aura of destruction. The gale howled incessantly, swirling dust into a sky-obscuring sandstorm; the environment was extremely harsh.
Huang Tianrui chose a relatively flat highland to land gently. A female giant serpent dragon flew from the distant warship; its enormous body, like a moving, majestic mountain peak, circled above their warship, emitting deafening roars that shook the heavens and earth. Its accompanying warships surrounded them on all sides, creating an immense sense of oppression.
The cockpit door slowly opened, and Yu Kai carried the injured Wen Chengzhi out. The intense thermal energy penetrated the defensive shield above the warship, making them instantly sweat profusely; their clothing was soaked through in the blink of an eye. Yu Kai immediately activated a highly efficient cooling system for the mecha; powerful spiritual energy drove the cooling compressor, rapidly cooling the mecha.
Wen Chengzhi, whose spiritual energy was sealed, instantly felt parched; his throat felt like it was smoking, his face pale as paper, his body swaying as if he might collapse at any moment. This provoked the giant serpent dragon to roar repeatedly. It opened its mouth and spat out a huge ice crystal. Yu Kai, without hesitation, used his powerful spiritual energy to draw it over and quickly handed it to Wen Chengzhi. The coolness of the ice crystal instantly spread throughout Wen Chengzhi’s body, improving his condition and gradually restoring some of his spirit.
Yu Kai took him to the bow of the ship. Looking out, they saw these bare golden mountains stretching endlessly, and rivers of metallic substance rushing unceasingly. Flowing liquid metal churned and surged under the high temperature, emitting pleasant metallic impact sounds, crisp and clear, like a unique melody played by the Metal Law.
Feeling the power system continuously drawing in metallic energy, the immense and pure power amazed Yu Kai at the richness of the Metal Law in this place, so dense it was almost tangible. He slowly spread his spiritual energy, cautiously approaching these extremely active metallic energies. He focused intently, trying to perceive every subtle fluctuation, feeling each powerful beat, while releasing his understanding of the Metal Law.
During this process, Yu Kai gradually immersed himself; everything around him seemed to disappear, and his world contained only the mysterious and powerful metallic energy and the Metal Law intertwined with it. His breath became steady and long, and his heartbeat gradually synchronized with the rhythm of the Law. Slowly, he became completely immersed, as if merging with this world filled with metallic energy, becoming a part of it.
Gradually, he felt their deep pain—a pain like the tearing of their souls; he felt their boundless anger—a rage capable of burning the heavens and earth.
He saw countless precious metal ores being mercilessly harvested by a group of soldiers clad in black iron armor using huge, cold machines. Conveyor belts, like greedy giant serpents, continuously transported them to a large machine resembling a demonic maw. Inside the large machine, they were cruelly crushed, their most precious metallic energy brutally extracted, while they were discarded as worthless good-for-nothings.
Demonic beasts of Venus charged out angrily to stop them, but were cruelly killed by the cold-blooded soldiers in black armor. Blood splattered, and wails filled the air; each one pierced Yu Kai’s heart. These soldiers in black armor were like locusts, wantonly hunting everywhere on the planet, not even sparing the young demonic beasts still in their infancy. They were cruelly skinned and disemboweled, and anything useful on them was greedily plundered, without a trace of mercy or compassion.
Yu Kai clenched his fists, his body instantly filled with intense killing intent. The giant serpent dragon circling above took the opportunity to dive down; its sharp claws flashed with cold light, breaking through the warship’s defensive shield in the blink of an eye, grabbing Wen Chengzhi beside him and swiftly returning to its own warship.
Yu Kai was instantly awakened by this sudden change. His eyes widened in surprise, looking at the fleeing giant serpent dragon and Wen Chengzhi held in its claws, but he did not immediately give chase; instead, the corners of his mouth curved slightly upward, revealing a sly smile of a successful plot.
At this time, Wen Chengzhi, held in the giant serpent dragon’s claw, which was like an iron clamp, showed pain on his face. He clutched his chest and said, “Grandmother Serpent Dragon, the defensive shield is poisoned!” Then, he spat out a mouthful of black blood.
“Ah!” The giant serpent dragon cried out in alarm, its voice filled with panic and anger. Its figure rapidly descended toward its warship, instantly transforming into an old woman with a weathered face. She hugged the bleeding Wen Chengzhi, her eyes instantly blood-red, their terrifying killing intent chilling. “Young Master, Young Master, are you alright?” She was frantic, her hands trembling as she quickly took out antivenom pills from her inner space and hurriedly gave them to Wen Chengzhi. This only made things worse; Wen Chengzhi coughed up even more blood, staining his clothing red and piercing the old woman’s heart.
“I’ll go kill him and force him to hand over the antidote!” The giant serpent dragon, enraged, her temples throbbing, roared loudly. She immediately handed the continuously bleeding Wen Chengzhi to two female Heavenly Soldiers nearby. The two women quickly stepped forward, carefully taking Wen Chengzhi and supporting him as they walked toward the rest cabin.
However, as soon as the giant serpent dragon leaped, she fell heavily onto the deck with a dull thud. Then, she spurted out a mouthful of blood, her face instantly turning as pale as paper. “Trouble!”
The surrounding Celestial Generals were all greatly startled and quickly rushed forward to help the giant serpent dragon, but she stopped them with trembling hands. She knew that time was of the essence, so she immediately endured the intense pain, sat cross-legged, and quickly circulated her spiritual energy, attempting to force out the toxins from her body.
