After Erika’s long lecture was over, the three of us headed to the dining hall together. Of course, it was a lecture and scolding from Erika’s perspective, but Rize buried her face in a pillow and didn’t even listen with the back of her ears.

Surprisingly, she didn’t say anything to me. She probably figured that Rize had the initiative in the situation anyway, and I wouldn’t have been able to shake it off with my own strength, so she didn’t say anything.

It was a pretty accurate assessment.

Rize, perhaps dissatisfied with the fact that she was interrupted, grumbled loudly all the way to the dining hall, as if to make Erika listen.

Rize and Erika’s bickering continued for a surprisingly long time.

Erika seemed like the type who hated pointless arguments, but she was unexpectedly countering Rize’s words without backing down. They didn’t seem like sisters for nothing.

Thanks to them, the way to the dining hall wasn’t boring.

Rize, while arguing with Erika, started to cling to my side at some point, and then she completely linked her arm with mine. My forearm was buried in two hills of overwhelming softness and size.

It was big enough to be a castle gate, not a dining hall door.

Erika pulled the huge door with one hand without looking particularly strained. With a heavy sound of “Ku-gu-gung,” the closed door slowly began to open.

The thickness of the cross-section was at least a handspan, even at a minimum. I wasn’t sure if I could open it even if I pulled or pushed with all my might.

Rize was already opening the other side. Seeing her easily open the door with her slender arms reminded me of what she had said about holding back during the spar.

“Why are you staring so intently? Are you smitten with me?”

“I was looking at the thickness of the door. You said this is the dining hall, right? Does a dining hall door need to be this thick?”

“Ah, this? This was originally the castle used by that lord. It seems this place also served as a shelter in case of emergency. That’s why the door is so thick. It’s a meaningless feature to us, so you can ignore it.”

I left the three of them to their conversation and looked around the dining hall slowly.
