Ch 84: Do Not Trust Anyone
Eric turned his head back, his eyes filled with astonishment.
“You were pretending!”
Fu Yanci struck with his knife: “Remember, never give weapons to anyone casually, not even a child.”
Eric felt extremely wronged even as he died.
The wild goose hunter was pecked in the eye by a goose.
No wonder he’s Third Master Fu, pretending to be a child so convincingly.
Fu Yanci searched Eric’s body thoroughly, pocketing anything useful, then walked out of the Stone House, surveyed the surroundings, and found a relatively hidden place to sit and wait.
At the same time, he used Eric’s phone to send out several text messages.
Waiting for what?
Soon, the person he was waiting for appeared.
In the dead of night, the shorter man from before returned through the darkness.
“Come out.” His voice sounded even more grating in the desolate and silent night.
His vocal cords must have been damaged.
The man calmly stood in front of the Stone House, lit a cigarette, and exhaled smoke, not even glancing at Eric’s corpse inside.
“As expected of the Fu Family’s heir, he fooled everyone, pretending to be a child so convincingly, and he’s ruthless.” The man said.
Fu Yanci didn’t hide anymore and walked out of the darkness.
The distance between the two was now only five steps.
And each had one hand behind their back.
Ready to strike at any moment.
“This place is surrounded by my men. Even if you killed Eric, you can’t escape.”
Fu Yanci felt that the person in front of him was strange, with a bizarre and incongruous familiarity.
“Aren’t you avenging your companion?” Fu Yanci asked.
He didn’t sense any killing intent from this person.
The man chuckled, the smoke swirling and blurring his features.
“Just a reckless fool, not worthy of being my companion.”
Fu Yanci had a new understanding of the relationship between these two.
It seemed that Eric had always been used, and the man in front of him was the one truly in control.
Perhaps even the cases Eric committed were at this man’s instruction or with his tacit approval.
“Before, you clearly wanted to kill the Fu Family with the bomb, but now you’ve only kidnapped me. What’s wrong, are you short on money? How about we make a deal?” Fu Yanci was testing the man’s bottom line little by little.
Who knew that these words would be seen through as soon as they were spoken.
The man threw the cigarette aside: “You’re still too naive if you want to trick me into talking. Once I get the money, I’ll release you immediately, I keep my word.”
The sound of a propeller grew closer, the wind it stirred rustling the surrounding branches and ruffling Fu Yanci’s hair.
The helicopter lowered its altitude and dropped a rope ladder and a package.
The man grabbed the rope ladder, “The food inside is enough to last you three days. We’ll meet again.”
The helicopter pulled the man away quickly.
In the night, Fu Yanci watched the man’s figure grow farther and farther away until it was just a black dot, disappearing from sight.
He opened the package on the ground.
Inside were water and food.
No more, no less, just enough to last him three days.
The next second, Eric’s phone in his pocket rang.
It was a text message.
【Forgot to tell you, the signal on this phone has been blocked by me. All the SOS messages you sent have been intercepted. Enjoy these three days of rare tranquility on the island.】
Fu Yanci didn’t expect the man to even monitor Eric’s phone.
It seemed that he didn’t trust anyone.
◈◈◈
The next day, as soon as it was light, Xia Chuwei was dragged out of bed.
The movements were very violent.
“Jiang Zao!”
Xia Chuwei felt that Jiang Zao after her rebirth was simply a madwoman.
“Are you crazy!”
◈◈◈
Jiang Zao didn’t care so much, turned around, opened the closet, grabbed a set of clothes at random, and threw them at Xia Chuwei’s face.
“One minute, get dressed, and come with me, or I’ll beat you up.”
Xia Chuwei: “……”
She was actually a little scared.
She was actually afraid of Jiang Zao, that Excess Baggage!
But in fact, she really believed that if she didn’t do as she was told, Jiang Zao would really beat her up.
Quickly getting dressed, Jiang Zao directly dragged Xia Chuwei out of bed, pulled her out of the Jiang Family home, threw her into the car, and stepped on the gas pedal, taking her away.
During the whole process, no one from the Jiang Family came out to stop them.
Even the servants deliberately made way and opened the gate.
Xia Chuwei was so angry she wanted to kill someone.
She hadn’t combed her hair, washed her face, or even brushed her teeth. Since her teenage years, she had never been so bare-faced.
And the red and green clothes she was wearing were simply too ugly.
All of this was thanks to Jiang Zao.
“Where exactly are you taking me?”
Xia Chuwei only asked one sentence, and Jiang Zao’s speed became faster and faster.
So fast that it made people’s hearts beat faster, and they subconsciously wanted to reach out and grab something.
“Jiang Zao, you’re crazy, if you want to die, don’t drag me down with you!” Xia Chuwei shouted frantically.
Finally, the car stopped.
Jiang Zao’s calm and contemptuous gaze fell on Xia Chuwei: “You’re so noisy.”
Xia Chuwei didn’t say anything, pushed the car door open, and threw up violently.
She hadn’t eaten breakfast to begin with, and after throwing up, her stomach cramped, making her pale with discomfort.
But when she looked up, she found that this was actually South Bay.
And there wasn’t just Jiang Zao around.
Rong Shi, Jiang Jin Feng, a large number of Police Officers.
Everyone was looking at her with surprised expressions.
Xia Chuwei really wanted to strangle Jiang Zao right now!
This Excess Baggage must have deliberately made her look bad!
Jiang Zao got out of the car, slammed the door shut, and asked, “Where did you find Mom? Point out the location.”
Xia Chuwei gritted her teeth in anger.
Is that how you ask for help?
However, Jiang Jin Feng was also present, so she couldn’t lose her temper.
She could only gather the severely clashing clothes around her, walk forward a few steps, raise her hand to point, but the whole person was stunned.
“That’s not right, there should be a boat here, a very small fishing boat. That’s where I found Grandma.”
Rong Shi and Jiang Jin Feng walked to the direction Xia Chuwei was pointing.
“Are you sure it’s here?” Jiang Jin Feng asked.
Xia Chuwei nodded: “That’s right.”
Rong Shi and his subordinates carefully checked.
“Unfortunately, there are no traces of any boats stopping here, not even footprints.”
Because it had rained before, as long as someone had walked here, there would be some traces.
Everyone looked at Xia Chuwei with suspicion.
“How is that possible?”
Xia Chuwei didn’t care about her disheveled hair and terrible clothes anymore. She quickly walked over and found that there really wasn’t anything there.
She turned around and looked around again.
“That’s right, it’s here. I really did rescue Grandma here. Jin Feng, you believe me, everything I said is true.”
Jiang Jin Feng’s trust in Xia Chuwei was already negative.
He took a deep breath and said, “Chuwei, we have to find clues based on where Grandma was rescued to save Maternal Uncle. The later we find Maternal Uncle, the more danger he’s in. So think carefully, where exactly did you find Grandma?”
Xia Chuwei: “It really is here! Why don’t you believe me?”
