Zombie Apocalypse, I Died Right at the Start – Chapter 287

Ch 287: Inexplicably full Loyalty

Ch 287: Inexplicably full Loyalty

“Sixth Master, there’s no food left in this empty house, what do we do?”

Several construction workers looked at the leading man; on the stove were several empty instant noodle tubs.

The bald man said nothing, seemingly considering something.

“Do you think those zombies are that strong? Otherwise, we’ll grab these tools and fight them!”

“Fight? Where can you fight? This is a new housing development, there isn’t even a supermarket nearby. How far can you run? There isn’t a single person on the street, those zombies are even hungrier than you!”

“Then what do we do? Just wait here to die?”

The bald man’s eyes hardened. “No supermarket, but there are people’s homes, right? Don’t they all have food? There’s a young woman upstairs who seems to live alone, didn’t you guys notice her?”

Several people’s eyes lit up.

“Still Sixth Master! I saw on the news that a lot of people died on Pedestrian Street, and no one is in charge! Now, whoever has the strongest fists has the say!”

“Yeah, and we have many people, and so many weapons! Those gates, we can open them with these tools!”

“The zombie outbreak isn’t so bad! I haven’t touched a woman in over half a year, if I meet a suitable one, don’t you guys compete with me!”

The more they talked, the more excited they became, as if the apocalypse wasn’t bad news for them.

“I’m hungry now, Sixth Master, let’s get started early. Now should be when they have the most supplies; later, who knows what will be left.”

“You’re quick-witted, kid! Let’s go, to the upstairs first, I’ve been eyeing that young woman for a long time!”

Several workers picked up their weapons and prepared to go out and have a good time.

“Cough cough…”

Ji Chuan leaned against the Gate at the entrance, it was unknown when he arrived.

“Who are you? When did you come in!”

The bald man glared fiercely at Ji Chuan, clutching the hammer in his hand.

“Since you started planning, I’ve been here.”

“Brothers, let’s use him for practice! Let this kid know his place!”

The bald man swung his hammer down, but when he lowered his hand, it felt light, and the hammer was gone.

“What’s going on…”

The others also swung their construction tools, but were left with only bare hands.

“Take this punch! Ouch, damn it!”

The bald man’s fist slammed into Ji Chuan’s face, but was easily blocked by Ji Chuan’s arm. He felt that he wasn’t hitting a fist, but steel. Why was his arm so hard?

The others didn’t understand what happened and attacked as well, but the knuckles of those who swung their fists bled.

“You guys are really impatient. Why don’t you let me finish?”

Several people watched Ji Chuan warily, seemingly unable to do anything to him.

“What do you want to say!”

“I want to give you a way out. If you think there are no supplies here, I can take you to the City Center, how about that? The rest you can fight for yourselves.”

Some of his subordinates began to waver. They just wanted to survive; a place with more supplies would be the best choice.

Not everyone had the guts to murder, rob, or assault women at the beginning of the apocalypse.

In many cases, they had no choice, but Ji Chuan gave them a new one.

“Those who want to go to the City Center stand to my right. This is your only chance. I have other things to do.”

“3, 2, 1.”

After much deliberation, only one person stepped to his right. He didn’t want to kill; he was just an honest and hardworking worker. The man in front of him seemed very strong and could help him escape Sixth Master’s small group.

They looked at the man with contempt, as if looking at a coward. The man who made the choice lowered his head, not daring to look at Sixth Master and the others.

“Kid, mind your own business!”

The bald man raised his hand, and several steel needles appeared out of thin air, shooting towards Ji Chuan’s head.

But before the steel needles could reach Ji Chuan, they flew into a Black Hole in front of him.

Just as the bald man was wondering what the Black Hole was, a Black Hole appeared behind several people.

The steel needles flew out, and several people died instantly.

The man to Ji Chuan’s right collapsed to the ground. He didn’t expect Sixth Master and the others to die like that… He watched Ji Chuan retreat continuously.

“Don’t be afraid, I keep my word.”

Ji Chuan handed the man the weapon he had been holding and took him to a first-floor office in the City Center.

“This is the City Center, the supplies around here should be quite abundant. Good luck.”

Watching Ji Chuan enter the Black Hole and disappear, the man’s eyes widened. His legs went weak, and he felt fortunate about his choice.

When Ji Chuan returned to Zhang Yun’s home, she had already wiped away the tears from her face.

Xiao Xuan stared blankly at Ji Chuan with a doll in her hand. Ji Chuan walked over, knelt down, and smiled, stroking Xiao Xuan’s head.

“Big Brother, this doll is for you. Can you help me get Baba home?”

Zhang Yun turned her face to the side; she still didn’t know how to speak to Xiao Xuan.

“It’s very dangerous outside. Baba might have found a place to hide. Big brother will take Xiao Xuan and Mom to a safe place, okay? Maybe Baba knows it’s safe there, and will come looking for us.”

Xiao Xuan laughed and lightly kissed Ji Chuan’s cheek.

“Thank you, Big Brother. Then Xiao Xuan and Mom will go to a safe place.”

Ji Chuan stroked Xiao Xuan’s head again, then stood up. Su Qi took Zhang Yun’s hand and patted it gently, then nodded to Ji Chuan.

A Black Hole appeared in the room, and Ji Chuan took the three of them inside.

Ji Chuan had several low-level Crystal Cores in his pocket; this was his first harvest since he returned through time travel.

He planned to eat them safely back at the Stronghold. He remembered that at the beginning, consuming even a small amount of Crystal Cores would put him to sleep; he didn’t know if the same thing would happen this time.

When several people appeared in the Hotel lobby, Su Shen and Tang Yue were already waiting. Su Shen didn’t expect to see his sister so soon.

When Su Shen saw them arrive, his eyes widened, and he froze in place.

“Brother!”

Su Qi excitedly jogged forward to hug Su Shen. Su Shen also opened his arms and came over, but he went past Su Qi and hugged Ji Chuan.

Su Qi had an awkward smile on her face, “?”

Her arms were frozen in mid-air.

“Master, I finally waited for you!”

Zhang Yun excitedly covered her mouth. “Nowadays young people express their feelings so directly? I’m really out of touch with the times…”

Su Qi’s expression changed from awkward to shocked. What was going on with her brother?

Her brain was spinning rapidly…

Were the past sisters-in-law all just for show?!

Was this why her brother hadn’t been dating lately? Always using work as an excuse?

What to do… How to choose between family and societal expectations!

Su Qi, you can do this!

“Ji Chuan-ge, you are very handsome and especially excellent. Brother always mentions you in front of me; you are the best boy he has ever met… Please give my brother a chance, okay?”

Brother, I ultimately chose family; I can only help you this much!

Ji Chuan had a black line all over his head… What was wrong with Su Shen? Why was his Loyalty 100% right away?!

He seemed to have heard Su Qi’s words before…

And Xiao Xuan is here too, for crying out loud!

“Chuan Chuan, who is he?!”

The elevator opened, and Song Huai’s eyes were full of alertness.
