Ch 421: As Expected Of Shinzo-sensei
“Are you the Fourth Hokage now, Orochimaru? It seems the situation is not optimistic.”
Shinzo quickly scanned his surroundings. He saw the Hokage Hat and Hokage Robe Orochimaru had taken off on the chair behind him, and said, “
“As expected of you, Shinzo. Hehehe. It’s a pity that I haven’t truly met you. Otherwise, we could have been good… opponents.”
“Huh? Opponents?”
Shinzo waved his hand dismissively.
“Forget it, it’s troublesome. By the way, is Minato still around? And, since you’re the Fourth Hokage now, what about the Third Hokage…?”
Orochimaru smiled slightly.
Even though he was brought back through Impure World Reincarnation, Shinzo’s personality still matched his expectations.
“The Sensei has retired and is enjoying his leisurely retirement at home. As for Minato…”
“Shinzo Sensei!”
Minato couldn’t hold back any longer.
“I’m here, Shinzo Sensei!”
Flashing to Shinzo’s side, Minato cried as he grasped Shinzo’s hand.
In Minato’s eyes, without Shinzo, there would be no him today; without Shinzo, he might not even exist.
“Oh, Minato…”
Shinzo measured Minato’s height with his hands.
“You’ve grown so tall~”
Shinzo laughed heartily.
“But you’re still the same as when you were a child, hahaha. You’re such a grown man, yet you still cry so easily~”
At the mention of childhood, Minato almost couldn’t help but shed tears again.
But Hanzo interrupted this heartwarming scene.
“Hey, you over there, can’t you see the current situation? We’re both under control.”
It was better not to mention it. The moment it was mentioned, Minato became like an enraged lion.
This was one of his angriest moments.
Turning his head to look at Mizuki, Minato gritted his teeth and said, “Desecrating the souls of the dead, Mizuki, your actions are truly appalling!”
Orochimaru touched his nose.
It seemed he had been unintentionally scolded…
“Heh, Headmaster.”
Mizuki was also startled by Minato’s sudden appearance.
Even though he had been the Headmaster for many years, Minato’s reputation as Konoha’s Yellow Flash had not diminished in the slightest.
When encountering the Yellow Flash, one could abandon their mission and prioritize survival. This was the reputation Minato had earned on the battlefield!
But thinking of his two powerful Impure World Reincarnation helpers, Mizuki wasn’t so panicked anymore.
“Since the Headmaster is so indignant, then, Mr. Shinzo, Minato, I’ll leave them to you. Hahahaha~”
Shinzo was naturally easygoing, in everyone’s eyes.
Even though he was instructed by Mizuki, the caster, to fight his disciple, Shinzo didn’t show any anger; instead, he readily accepted.
“Perfect. Minato, I don’t know how many years have passed, but let your Sensei test your current level~”
Minato pursed his lips, glared at Mizuki, then turned to face Shinzo.
To be tested by his Sensei, and then to receive his Sensei’s approval—as a mentor, father figure, and elder brother, Shinzo’s approval was what Minato desired.
“Understood, Shinzo Sensei. I will do my best so that you will no longer be controlled.”
Shinzo smiled slightly, spreading his arms as if to embrace a wronged child.
“Come.”
On the other side, Hanzo watched coldly as Minato and Shinzo finished their conversation, then turned to Orochimaru.
“Orochimaru, although we are controlled, I shouldn’t hold back in battle, even if it means killing you.”
“Hehehe…”
Orochimaru let out a chuckle.
This old geezer still thinks the Ninja World is the same as when he was a Demigod years ago?
“Bring it on, Hanzo. Let you see how your former underling defeats you.”
As the improver of Impure World Reincarnation, Orochimaru was fully capable of sending Hanzo back to the Pure Land before a full-scale conflict erupted.
But he changed his mind the moment he saw Hanzo.
Even someone as calm and rational as Orochimaru wanted to use Hanzo, a former Demigod, as a stepping stone to announce the Fourth Hokage’s strength.
Demigod? Just remnants of the old era. Even with the immortal body of Impure World Reincarnation, they are nothing!
Mizuki quietly distanced himself.
Although Shinzo and Hanzo were both powerful individuals brought back by Impure World Reincarnation, once strong individuals fought, they might inadvertently harm him.
Kushina, hidden in the shadows, did not appear with Minato.
She remembered Minato’s words about Mizuki possibly having accomplices hidden in the shadows, so she had been keeping an eye on Mizuki.
The battle between the two sides was about to begin.
“Shinzo Sensei, here I come!”
Minato gave a generous warning, then used Body Flicker to rush towards Shinzo, punching him in the chest.
Slap—
With a simple catch, Shinzo grasped Minato’s fist in his palm.
“Your punch was delayed, Minato. I taught you this: in battle, the enemy is the enemy. Even if it’s me, you must have the firm belief to kill me.”
With a flick of his wrist, he sent Minato back to his original position.
“Don’t worry about me. I can feel the special nature of this body; it’s difficult to damage. Use your full strength, Minato, come again.”
“Yes! Shinzo Sensei!”
Minato suppressed his longing, calmly assessed the Illusionary Realm, and then disappeared again.
Swish swish swish—
A golden figure flashed around Shinzo, kunai flying, but none came close to his body.
Shinzo stood still. Every time he met Minato’s gaze during his flashes, it shocked Minato immensely.
Shinzo Sensei… is he really that strong!?
He can keep up with that speed so easily!
Pop—
An imperceptible crack appeared in space. When Minato reappeared, he was behind Shinzo.
Slap—
Amazing!!!
Minato’s eyes widened as he watched Shinzo slightly shift to the side, grabbing his wrist holding the kunai, in disbelief.
The Flying Thunder God Technique was a powerful weapon on the battlefield. Few people could even sense it, let alone catch it!
Yet Shinzo had grabbed his wrist!
Clang—
With a punch, he sent Minato flying. Clearly, Shinzo was controlled by Mizuki and had to fight, but the force wasn’t strong.
“If I’m not mistaken, that should be the Second Hokage’s Space-Time Ninjutsu, the Flying Thunder God Technique.”
Shinzo stroked his chin, examining the special kunai he had snatched from Minato’s hand. Then, as if throwing a toy to a child, he tossed the kunai back to Minato.
“Although Space-Time Ninjutsu is difficult to detect, it’s more reasonable as a surprise attack. When fighting an enemy head-on, and the enemy is alert, there are still clues. In such situations, Minato, you need to think more about the potential of this technique.”
Fighting and teaching at the same time, Minato sighed inwardly.
This is Shinzo Sensei!
And only Shinzo Sensei.
When he used the Flying Thunder God Technique to kill his first person on the battlefield, everyone around him would be on high alert, yet few could detect his movements.
Therefore…
Minato was a little worried.
He thought Shinzo Sensei wasn’t as strong as he was now, but it seemed that Shinzo Sensei back then had sacrificed himself because he cared too much about his students.
A ninja who can capture the trajectory of spatial changes and catch the Flying Thunder God… it’s only fitting that it’s Shinzo Sensei!
