Ch 13: Suppressing Yu Yao

Yu Duoduo fought while shouting at the people lunging at her, “I’m a woman. If you harm me, according to interstellar law, you’ll be sent to a mining planet to dig for at least 50 years. Do you think it’s worth it?”

Hearing Yu Duoduo’s words, some of the people around her stopped advancing.

“She’s right. Interstellar law protects women. Anyone who harms a woman faces 50 years to a lifetime of mining on a mining planet.”

“Yeah, yeah, there’s definitely a rule like that. Interstellar law gives special treatment to women—hurting them is absolutely not tolerated.”

Yu Duoduo’s expression dipped for just a moment, but soon she burst into loud laughter. “This is even better—it means I have no ties to the Yu family anymore. The Yu family has no right to boss me around.”

As she spoke, Yu Duoduo suddenly flashed a wicked grin at Yu Yao. “So, if I defend myself against people trying to hurt me, that’s not wrong, right? Lady Yu, guess what I’m going to do next?”

As she spoke, Yu Duoduo advanced toward Yu Yao, who stumbled backward in a panic. In her fluster, Yu Yao grabbed someone else’s belongings and hurled them at Yu Duoduo.

“Lady Yu, how could you throw things at me? What if that hits and injures me?”

At that moment, to Yu Yao, Yu Duoduo seemed like a demon. Every word she said sent chills of terror through Yu Yao.

“Don’t come closer! You’re not allowed to come closer!” Yu Yao screamed, her heart gripped by even greater fear.

“What are you all standing there for? She’s going to hurt me—hurry up and protect me!”

The group quickly rushed to Yu Yao’s side to shield her.

“Lady Yu, what are you so afraid of? I just want to have a nice chat with you. It’s been so many years—don’t you miss me? After all, I’m still your daughter, aren’t I?”

How to describe Yu Duoduo at this moment? She had a hint of unhinged potential.

“I—I have nothing to talk about with you. You—you need to leave now. I don’t want to see you again. I’ll just pretend I never had a dau—daughter like you.”

“But I really want to see you. I have so much I want to say. I want you to know how I’ve lived these past 15 years, haha…”

Yu Duoduo laughed until tears streamed down her face. She realized this wasn’t her original intention—today’s events must have triggered the lingering will of the original owner, and it had erupted.

Over there, Yu Yao was still shouting, “She’s gone mad! She’s crazy! Hurry, drive her out! If you get her out of here, I’ll take you all as my servant-husbands!”

At Yu Yao’s words, the bodyguards stirred, ready to charge forward, while Lu Zhengting, who had been standing in front of her, revealed a bitter expression and gave a self-mocking smile.

Yu Duoduo smiled faintly, observing the scene before her. “Second Uncle, it seems that’s all you mean to her. Maybe you should focus more on Yunjin instead.”

With that, she sprang into action, fighting the group of bodyguards rushing at her. They were either powerless or low-tier ability users—Yu Duoduo could still handle them.

She’d originally hoped to avoid fighting if possible, but alas, her so-called mother had pushed her too far.

Yu Duoduo activated a protective shield around herself and shifted her combat armor into a battle-ready mode. Today, she’d use these people’s blood to honor the memory of the little Duoduo who had died.

While Yu Duoduo fought fiercely, Leng Ruoheng and Shi Yichen sped toward the scene in a floating car. By the time they arrived, they found they couldn’t enter the Yu family estate and could only pace anxiously outside the gate.

The battle in the Yu family’s main hall raged on. Though Yu Duoduo couldn’t dispatch her opponents quickly, she traded blows skillfully, gradually taking down the first, then the second, then the third… until only two Level-3 ability users remained.

The two ability users stood in front of Yu Yao, their eyes wide with shock. They hadn’t expected this underage girl to be so formidable—especially since some of their group had abilities too.

Even more stunned was Yu Yao. The one who’d taken down all her bodyguards was the daughter she’d abandoned. Could this really be the same useless girl who’d tested with no mental power and no potential for awakening?

“Duoduo, Mommy was wrong. I shouldn’t have agreed to abandon you on Garbage Star back then. I shouldn’t have made you take your sister’s place in a marriage alliance. Can you forgive me, please?”

“Do you think I should forgive you? Do you think I will forgive you? Or do you still see me as that little Duoduo who waited every day for your hug, your praise, hoping you’d bring me back to the Imperial Star?

I shouldn’t forgive you, and I won’t forgive you. I’ve long passed the age where I need a mother. Now, I’m strong enough to be my own support and to soothe this wounded heart.

I should despise you with every fiber of my being, but little Duoduo doesn’t want that. She still holds onto illusions about you. So from now on, let’s have nothing to do with each other. Let’s live without interfering, treating each other as strangers.

After all, your daughter disappeared from your life 15 years ago.”

Outside the gate, Leng Ruoheng and Shi Yichen finally spotted a returning Yu family member—it was Lu Yunjin.

Shi Yichen stepped forward to intercept Lu Yunjin. “You’re Duoduo’s younger brother, right? Can you take us into the Yu estate to find her?”

Lu Yunjin sized up Shi Yichen warily. “Who are you? What do you want with my sister? She’s not home.”

“I’m Shi Yichen, your sister’s good friend. She contacted us earlier, asking us to come to the Yu estate to find her. But now we can’t reach her, so we’re worried and came to check. We didn’t expect to be stuck outside your gate.”

“You’re Shi Yichen, the mecha master? Really? Let me tell you, I’m a huge fan of your mechas! One of my classmates has a mecha you designed—it’s so cool and practical. Everyone in our class is so jealous of him…”

“Thanks for liking my mechas. We can talk about that later. Right now, can you take us inside to find your Big Sis Duoduo?”

As Lu Yunjin stepped into the main hall, he was met with a shocking scene. Somewhat unsure, he rubbed his eyes, confirming there was nothing wrong with his vision.

Thinking maybe he’d entered the wrong way, he quickly stepped back out and walked in again—only to see the same scene as before.
