Chapter 246: Who Would Believe This
The tomb was located underground, completely covered by clay-like soil, with only the entrance buried under an inconspicuous mound of earth.

Zhi dug open the cave again, revealing the entrance to the tunnel. They entered the narrow cave one after another.

Unfortunately, for the gelatinous Slime Queen, these attacks were barely enough to elicit a reaction from her, not even as stimulating as what her master gave her.
“Let’s go.” Owen was already accustomed to this. He beckoned to the astonished Ya and the other two and rode his Dragon Sheep ahead.
The Slime Queen had licked everything clean. All the traps and hidden weapons in the entire tunnel had been devoured. There were no remnants, not even ashes, just as if it had been newly maintained. The stone walls felt smooth to the touch.
When they reached the end of the underground tunnel, Owen realized that this was not a mage’s tomb at all, but rather an underground passage built by someone who had discovered a crashed spaceship.
“Sigh…” Owen sighed. Although he had discovered the origin of humanity in this world, which he had been longing for, he no longer held any hope. After all, the tunnel had been built, so what could be left? If it were him, he would have taken everything, even the bricks.
Worried about encountering traps ahead, Owen asked Ya and the others to stay put while he immersed himself in the Slime Queen’s body, as if piloting Unit-01.
Ever since merging with her master last time, as if giving birth to a baby, the Slime Queen had become addicted to this feeling. Even Owen could sense her excitement at this moment, but he didn’t understand why, nor could he ask, because the Slime Queen couldn’t speak.
However, it wasn’t anything important, so Owen let it go and moved forward under the protection of the Slime Queen.
As they got closer, Owen finally saw the full picture of the spaceship. Unexpectedly, this was only part of the wreckage.
Warm Baby, through data scanning, completed the structure of the entire spaceship. It was unknown how accurate it was, but the difference shouldn’t be too big. After all, any technology had its own rules, especially for large-scale creations.
If the calculations were correct, the entire spaceship was over six hundred meters long, shaped like an airship, round and plump, with a metal frame, but the exterior and interior were mostly made of wood, making it look like a super-sized ironclad battleship.
This thing was actually capable of Void travel, in other words, interstellar travel.
Who would believe this, or rather, dare to ride it?
Owen was speechless. It was even more high-tech than black technology.
He was afraid that even if Iron Man were brought here, he wouldn’t be able to build a spaceship with just wood and metal. Maybe Wile E. Coyote could.
Although he had discovered the high-tech spaceship that brought humanity to this world, Owen wasn’t very happy. Slimes didn’t have feet and moved entirely by the flow of their gelatinous bodies, so they were extremely sensitive to the ground, even to the point of being airtight. Therefore, they could sense even the slightest difference.
Owen immediately asked the Slime Queen to search for an entrance, but she couldn’t find a way in. Even corrosion had no effect on the ground.
However, this wasn’t surprising. To be able to travel through the Void, the material of this thing couldn’t be ordinary.
Owen became interested and took out Zaku, intending to use force.
After multiple modifications, Zaku’s overall performance had improved significantly. Upon receiving the order, it swiftly picked up its chainsaw axe and delivered a heavy blow. The ground couldn’t withstand the combined force of chopping and sawing and quickly gave way, triggering a trap. Two beams of light, one from the left and one from the right, simultaneously struck the wide and heavy Zaku.
One of the beams hit Zaku with no reaction, but the other beam directly disintegrated most of its steel body.
“Finger of Death, Greater Disintegrate!” Owen’s face turned green. These two spells were among the few that posed a significant threat even to Demigods. Those below Demigod rank would die if hit directly and be injured even if grazed, extremely terrifying.
Especially Finger of Death, a probabilistic instant death spell. If one was unlucky, even Legends could be taken out in one shot. Greater Disintegrate was even said to be able to damage artifacts.
Although Owen had many means, if he were hit by one, he would most likely suffer the same fate.
This scene completely dispelled the small adventurous thought in Owen’s heart. He decided that in the future, when going out on adventures, he wouldn’t take a single step out the door without a three-digit number of guards.
Putting away the nearly scrapped Zaku, Owen couldn’t help but sigh. Could it be that Zaku’s fate was to be destroyed? It hadn’t even encountered a Gundam.
He released a new puppet to check and found that the trap only consisted of these two spells.
But that made sense. If these two spells were ineffective, other traps would likely be useless, so they might as well save their effort.
The lid opened, revealing a space the size of a safe. Inside was a skeleton.
Judging from the mage robe and equipment still emitting magical light, this was a mage, and very likely a Legendary mage.
After all this twists and turns, Ya and the other two had stumbled upon a Legendary mage’s tomb, albeit a small one.
