Chapter 2: Me, a Cat? Caught!
“Big Fat Raccoon Cat, don’t run! We’ll take you back to eat delicious food and enjoy a comfortable life. It’s definitely better than wandering around here.”
“Yeah, Big Fat Raccoon Cat, why are you running?” The girls, regaining their senses, shouted while chasing after him.
They never expected that Big Fat Raccoon Cat, despite his size, could run so fast.
“Meow meow~ (If I don’t run and go with you, won’t my Litter Shovel Officer cry to death? He was just dumped by his girlfriend, and he’s already heartbroken enough. If I leave too, what if something happens to him?)” Li Li muttered as the girls pursued him.
Although he was a cat now, not a human, he still had to be loyal. He couldn’t abandon his Litter Shovel Officer at his lowest point.
Otherwise, with that guy’s silly personality, he might do something rash.
After all, he was just a fragile, recently graduated college student.
“Ding! Carbon-based lifeform detected, meets player criteria! Comprehensive Network loading 1%……”
Just as Li Li was thinking this, a clear electronic voice suddenly rang in his ears.
“Meow meow~ (What the heck?)” Li Li was stunned by the voice, and then his left paw tripped over his right.
With a “thump,” he rolled forward, tumbling into a nearby bush.
“Ah, Big Fat Raccoon Cat……”
The girls chasing him widened their eyes at the sight and quickly sped up.
“Wow! I’ve always heard of pigs charging forward, but this is the first time I’ve seen a cat do it! If I hadn’t seen how this Big Fat Raccoon Cat tripped, I would have thought it was a big, colorful ball rolling around.”
“Who wouldn’t think that? But it’s rare to see a cat roll like a ball when it falls.”
“Yeah, yeah, I hope Big Fat Raccoon Cat is okay.” The viewers in the livestream discussed, saying that they had broadened their horizons today.
“Big Fat Raccoon Cat, why did you run? We were taking you to a good life. Why did you have to run? Now look, you’ve fallen.” Shan Shan walked into the bush and picked up Li Li, who was dizzy from the fall.
“Exactly, why did you run? We wouldn’t eat you.” Tan Birong felt relieved after running her hands over Li Li’s fluffy body. “Thankfully, he doesn’t have any scratches, otherwise, we would be in trouble.”
“Yeah, it’s a good thing he has all this fat to cushion the fall.” Xiao Linger nodded, pinching Li Li’s chubby cheeks.
It was a blessing in disguise that his cute, round face wasn’t injured.
“Meow meow~ (D*mn it, that d*mn voice! It distracted me. Otherwise, with my speed of 5.6 seconds per 100 meters, how could I have fallen?)” Li Li cursed as he came to his senses. It was all because of that d*mn voice. If it weren’t for that, he would have already run away with his canned food. How could he have been caught by these girls?
“Okay, now that we’ve caught Big Fat Raccoon Cat, let’s take him away quickly.”
“Yes, lest the night be full of dreams.”
Just then, Tan Birong and Xiao Linger spoke up and opened the cage.
“Meow meow~ (Hey, hey, hey, you’ve got it wrong! I’m not a homeless stray cat. I have a home!)” Li Li struggled desperately, trying to escape from Shan Shan’s grasp.
But facing three people and five hands, he was powerless, no matter how strong he was.
He just couldn’t understand how these delicate girls could have such strength. He, a cat weighing over ten pounds, couldn’t break free.
Although he hadn’t used his claws and teeth, it was still too outrageous.
“Big Fat Raccoon Cat, stop struggling. Although you’re reluctant to leave the school now, once you get home, you’ll know we’re doing this for your own good.” Shan Shan said, tightly gripping Li Li’s hind legs.
“Yeah, Big Fat Raccoon Cat, calm down.” Xiao Linger said, holding Li Li by the scruff of his neck.
“Quick, quick, throw him in the cage. His weight isn’t just for show. My goodness, my Da Jin, who weighs almost 100 pounds, isn’t as strong as him.” Tan Birong said, holding Li Li’s front paws.
The three of them stuffed Li Li into the pet carrier.
“Meow meow~ (D*mn it, I, a cat, have been caught! My poor Litter Shovel Officer, you must wait for me to escape!)” Looking at the closed metal door, Li Li was utterly defeated.
He never thought that when he was a human in his past life, he didn’t encounter human traffickers.
Now, after becoming a cat, he could actually be kidnapped by humans.
“Great, we caught Big Fat Raccoon Cat. Let’s take him away quickly.” Shan Shan said happily, looking at Li Li meowing inside the carrier.
“Yeah, it’s time to go. But before that, we should tell the others who feed Big Fat Raccoon Cat. Otherwise, they’ll be worried when they find out he’s gone.” Tan Birong said. Big Fat Raccoon Cat had been living in the school for almost a year.
It wasn’t just them who had their eyes on him. Now that they had caught him, they should at least tell the others.
“Yeah, I’ll say something in the school group chat.” Shan Shan nodded and opened her phone, ready to tell everyone.
“Amazing, simply amazing! These girls are awesome. Three girls actually caught Big Fat Raccoon Cat so easily.”
“Yeah, these girls are doing a good deed. They’re so much better than those who just feed stray cats. This is what true responsibility looks like!” The viewers in the livestream commented, seeing Li Li caught.
“What are you three students doing? What did you put in that box?”
Just as everyone was happy, a stern voice came, breaking the cheerful atmosphere.
The three girls looked up and saw a middle-aged man in a Mao suit and black-rimmed glasses walking towards them with a serious expression.
He had a stern face, the kind that rarely smiled.
His eyes were fixed on the pet carrier, almost popping out of their sockets. His hand in his pocket was clenched so tightly that it made cracking sounds.
Seeing this, the three girls felt their hearts tremble and whispered amongst themselves:
“Uh, it’s the Guidance Director. Why is he here?”
“Yeah, should we tell him the truth?”
“Tell him the truth. We can’t hide it.” Tan Birong whispered and said to the Guidance Director, “Hello, Teacher. We’re taking Big Fat Raccoon Cat home.”
“Teacher, you know that Big Fat Raccoon Cat has been living in the school for almost a year, wandering around without a fixed place to live. So we decided to take him home and give him a home.”
“Yeah, Teacher. You also want fewer stray cats in the school, right?” Shan Shan added, carefully observing the Guidance Director.
