Chapter 2: The Humorous Liu Laosan
“Who are you?” Shi Feizhe looked warily at the burly man in front of him.
Based on his experience working at the medical clinic, the man before him was a martial artist with abundant Qi and blood. He bandaged many such people every day and wouldn’t mistake it.
“Kid, you’re actually practicing the 《True Origin Sword Finger Formula》?” The burly man didn’t answer Shi Feizhe’s question, instead asking mockingly.
“So what?” Shi Feizhe was puzzled. He didn’t know if the man in front of him was a friend or foe.
“Hahahaha~ That’s hilarious! Someone’s actually practicing the 《True Origin Sword Finger Formula》!” The burly man couldn’t help but burst into laughter upon hearing Shi Feizhe’s reply.
“Do you even know… cough… cough…” The burly man laughed so hard he started coughing.
“What’s so funny!” Shi Feizhe couldn’t help but retort, seeing him laugh so arrogantly.
“Fine! Master Liu is in a good mood today, so I’ll let you die knowing the truth!” Liu San, who called himself Master Liu, said, “You young people are always so impractical.”
“How can internal energy and True Qi be so easily cultivated? When blood is full, Qi flourishes; when Qi flourishes, Essence overflows; when Essence overflows, Spirit abounds; when Spirit abounds, one sees the Truth! Without sufficient Essence, Qi, and Spirit, how can there be internal power and True Qi?”
“If any physique could cultivate internal power, what would be the point of us tempering our Qi, blood, tendons, and bones every day?”
“Only with a strong physique can one cultivate True Qi! You, a skinny beanpole like this, are worthy of practicing internal power and True Qi?”
“Since the 《True Origin Sword Finger Formula》 appeared in the Jianghu decades ago, there have been no less than eight hundred copies, and no one has ever succeeded in cultivating it!”
“Hahaha, that’s hilarious! Someone’s actually practicing this!” Liu San couldn’t help but laugh again as he spoke.
He felt that coming to kill this little ghost was truly amusing. After killing him, he would tell his gang members about it, and it would definitely be the funniest thing in months!
This would make his reputation as “Humorous Laosan” even greater.
Liu San’s words contained too much information, making Shi Feizhe’s head spin.
What “die knowing the truth,” what “only with a strong physique can one cultivate True Qi,” what “no one has ever succeeded in cultivating the 《True Origin Sword Finger Formula》 in decades!”
No wonder that corpse had a copy of the 《True Origin Sword Finger Formula》 in his arms; it turned out to be useless garbage.
Then what was the True Qi he had just practiced?
Seeing Shi Feizhe’s dumbfounded look, Liu San felt that this mission was really interesting.
“Kid, you changed the medicine for my elder brother today, right?” He asked.
“Which one is your elder brother?” Shi Feizhe asked blankly. There had been a sudden increase in patients with knife and internal injuries in recent days, and he really couldn’t remember who he had changed the medicine for.
“It doesn’t matter! Take your head to meet my elder brother, and you’ll naturally get acquainted! Hahaha!” Liu San laughed wildly and pounced on Shi Feizhe, striking his chest with a palm.
Shi Feizhe hurriedly crossed his arms in front of his chest, but how could he block a burly man like Liu San?
He felt as if he had been hit by a bull, his body involuntarily flying backward. He couldn’t feel his forearms anymore.
Then his head was slapped hard. Shi Feizhe only felt a “buzz” in his head, his vision went black, and then the world spun. His consciousness blurred, losing all sense of direction. He didn’t even know that blood was flowing from his nose and mouth!
“Hmm? The kid’s quite tough!” Master Liu lifted Shi Feizhe by the neck and felt a pulse in his neck, realizing the kid wasn’t dead.
His two blows would have killed even a strong man. He didn’t expect this kid to withstand them.
“Wh… why…” Shi Feizhe mumbled, his consciousness fading.
He didn’t understand why, why someone would suddenly try to kill him! He hadn’t offended anyone!
“If you make my elder brother unhappy, you deserve to die!” Master Liu said with a sneer.
Normally, his elder brother wouldn’t be so petty.
But recently, their Four Directions Gang was facing a coalition of the other two gangs, and their backer was gone, putting immense pressure on the gang’s survival. Even his elder brother was injured, so he was in a very irritable mood.
Although his elder brother didn’t say anything, Liu San already understood his intentions. He was going to kill Shi Feizhe, the medical clinic helper, to appease his elder brother.
✿✿✿
Shi Feizhe wanted to ask who his elder brother was, but he felt it was pointless.
He only felt anger at this moment. For such a small, insignificant matter, someone came to kill him!
What a damned world!
But he also knew that in the past two months, the city was filled with killings. There weren’t so many whys!
He didn’t want to die. He had already died once!
He didn’t want to die again!!!
“Kid! Die!” Liu San gripped Shi Feizhe’s throat with his right hand and was about to exert force when he saw Shi Feizhe tremblingly raise his right hand.
“Hmm?” Liu San was puzzled. What was this kid doing?
Shi Feizhe bit his tongue hard to wake himself up and opened his eyes slightly. He saw his right ring finger pointing at Master Liu’s throat.
His arm was naturally not as long as Liu San’s, and there was still half a foot between his finger and Liu San’s throat!
Then, the wisp of True Qi in his body started from his dantian, traveled up the “Chengjiang” meridian, then entered his right arm’s “Jianliao” point, and descended all the way to the “Guanchong” point on his ring finger!
This was the “Hand Shaoyang Sanjiao” meridian!
It was also the circulation path for “True Qi Transformation into Sword”!
A faint, invisible sword Qi shot out from Shi Feizhe’s right ring finger, and then he fell unconscious.
The outcome would be left to fate!
Liu San watched in disbelief as a faint, almost illusory sword Qi flew from Shi Feizhe’s ring finger and pierced through his throat.
The blood pressure in his body caused a spurt of blood to gush from his throat, splattering onto Shi Feizhe.
He no longer cared about Shi Feizhe. He wanted to cover the hole in his throat with both hands but found it difficult to breathe. The blood had already seeped into his lungs.
His strength was draining away bit by bit. He hadn’t expected to be defeated here. It was just a skinny teenager, so why did he still have a trace of sword Qi?
Could it be because of that 《True Origin Sword Finger Formula》?
Impossible! That kid was so skinny, how could he cultivate True Qi?
He couldn’t understand.
So, he died.
Time passed, and it wasn’t until the sky in the east began to brighten that Shi Feizhe finally woke up groggily.
Only then did he realize that he had actually survived.
He stood up unsteadily, feeling pain all over his body. His head hurt, his arms and chest hurt, and even the meridians in his body ached!
His nose and mouth were filled with dry blood clots. He spat a few times before his throat felt better.
Not far from him was Liu San’s corpse.
“Heh… hehehe…” Shi Feizhe let out a strange laugh. He wasn’t afraid of the corpse. He had seen too many in the past two months on the streets of Yiyang City and at the medical clinic.
He looked at the corpse as if it were a pig or a dog.
First, he picked up the 《True Origin Sword Finger Formula》 that Liu San had thrown aside and stuffed it into his pocket. Then he went to the kitchen, washed his face, and rinsed some rice to cook.
He hadn’t eaten since lunch at the clinic yesterday, almost a whole day ago.
No matter what he did next, he had to eat his fill!
He had to eat his fill to have the strength to add to his collection! The strange and absurd world of high martial arts had begun!
