Ch 3: Return to the Residence

As dawn broke, the front courtyard of the General’s Residence buzzed with activity.

Manager Li, following Madam’s instructions, was waiting early in the morning for the General’s return. Sure enough, he spotted the familiar figure and horses approaching!

“It’s the General, it’s the General!”

Manager Li was an elder of the front courtyard, quite advanced in years. In his earlier years, he was a follower of Old Madam.
