Ch 647: He knew exactly who this person was.
The curtains were flung open with a whoosh, and the waiter opened the windows one by one. Tang Song, who had been curled up asleep on the bed, impatiently opened his eyes.
The Boss stood at the doorway, hands clasped behind his back, his expression serious. “Hurry up and tidy up.”
“I’m perfectly fine as I am. Tidy up what?” Tang Song lazily rolled over, wrapping himself tightly in the blankets.
“The room reeks of alcohol! Clean it up immediately! Take everything washable out to be washed!”
“Yes.”
The waiter, having received his instructions, directly stripped the blankets from Tang Song, along with the pillowcase and bedsheet.
After all that commotion, any trace of sleep was gone.
“What the hell are you trying to do?!”
“I just want to get this place clean, to avoid customers complaining.” The Boss spoke frankly, and left the room with the waiter.
Sunlight poured into the room, its warmth chasing away the chill in the corners.
Tang Song lay on the bed in a sprawl, staring blankly at the ceiling. Not drinking, he didn’t really know what to do.
Knock knock—
“Come in.”
The newcomer’s footsteps were extremely light. Her bright eyes cautiously surveyed the room and the person on the bed.
“Long time no see.”
With a start, Tang Song sat up abruptly, his eyes narrowing. “How did you get here?”
“To see you, of course!” Su Ling’er gave a playful smile, sitting down carelessly on the chair beside the bed. “I heard you disappeared for half a month. So you were hiding here! When are you planning to go back?”
Tang Song was clearly still reeling from her sudden appearance; the shock in his eyes lingered.
Every time he saw this face, he would involuntarily think of her.
“Hey, are you even listening to me?”
Only Su Ling’er continued to mutter, so she waved her hand in front of Tang Song’s face.
Suddenly, his hand grabbed hers, and Tang Song pulled her directly out of the room. “Go back! This isn’t a place for you!”
This was the Mei Ling Bar, after all. If an unsuspecting customer were to take notice, who knows how much trouble it would cause.
“I’ll go back if you go back!” Su Ling’er stubbornly clung to Tang Song’s arm.
A low chuckle came from around the corner. Tang Song glared fiercely. “I really don’t know why you brought her here!”
“Didn’t you want to see her too?” the Boss said casually.
Tang Song shuddered, suddenly remembering their conversation on the balcony. He had indeed thought about seeing Su Ling’er, but he hadn’t expected it to be so sudden.
Seeing him stunned, Su Ling’er hugged him even tighter. “I’ll go back if you go back! Don’t you dare chase me away! If anything happens to me, I’ll haunt you!”
The Boss chuckled. “Don’t worry, I’ve already spoken to the people here. No one will dare touch her. Besides, aren’t you here?”
Watching the Boss wink at him, Tang Song felt a vein throb in his head.
“I’m hungry. Can we go get something to eat?”
As soon as Su Ling’er finished speaking, the Boss added, “It’s already prepared for you. Just go to the restaurant.”
Soon, a waiter came to lead the way.
Tang Song was numbly dragged along by Su Ling’er.
The girl’s profile was radiant, stirring something in his heart.
He knew very well that the person in front of him was not Han Du’er, but Su Ling’er.
“Why did you come?”
“You’re my friend. Why wouldn’t I come?”
“Aren’t you afraid to come alone?”
“Aren’t you here?”
Su Ling’er stopped, turning to look at Tang Song. She said, word by word, “I truly consider you a friend. After all, you seem quite lonely.”
