Ch 27: Bonfire
Chen Wen was surprised; this Subjugation Contract wasn’t something to be signed casually.
After signing, the only way to dissolve it would be for the Master to take the initiative; the Servant had no means of dissolving it.
These Lizard People truly intended to sell themselves to him.
Seeing the Lizard People’s fervent gaze, Chen Wen reluctantly agreed; after all, he hadn’t lost anything.
Chen Wen didn’t know this Subjugation Contract Magic, but the Lizard People did. They had always wanted to serve the Dragon Clan, so the Subjugation Contract was something every Lizard People Leader had to learn.
Gren pondered for a moment. They now also served the Black Dragon; they might as well sign the Subjugation Contract.
Their Master hadn’t harmed them before, and even gave them money; he wasn’t a tyrannical dragon.
Now they also had House-Building Technology. Following him should be alright, and with a backer, and having become allies with the Lizard People, they wouldn’t have to live in fear in this area anymore.
If they encountered something like the Pig-headed People incident, they could ask their Master for help.
It seemed pretty good for them.
He discussed it with the Sheep-headed People, and they had no objections, so he also stated that the Sheep-headed People were willing to sign a Subjugation Contract with their Master.
For Chen Wen, signing one Tribe was the same as signing two; he didn’t mind.
Kein busied himself for a while, setting up the Subjugation Contract Magic Array.
Chen Wen and all of them stood on the Magic Array.
Kein began to chant the Magic Incantation.
The Magic Array erupted with a surge of Energy, and Chen Wen felt a strange connection with everyone.
He was originally a powerful member of the Dragon Clan, and he looked down upon them, both physically and mentally.
Now he felt even more like a God in front of them; he could freely control them.
Was this the Subjugation Contract?
After the Subjugation Contract was completed, the Lizard People finally relaxed completely, beginning to sing and dance, cheering.
The Sheep-headed People were also infected by their atmosphere and cheered along.
With the Contract finished, Chen Wen wanted to leave and find the Magic Crystal.
But Kein insisted on expressing his loyalty. Today was their first day of serving their Master, and they absolutely had to offer their Master a sumptuous Dinner.
Chen Wen saw that it was still early, so he didn’t rush to leave.
Kein had people dispose of the Pig-headed People’s corpses while sending others to hunt.
Gren also sent people back to the Village to get Food and necessary tools. The Lizard People’s houses were still burning, and there weren’t many usable things left.
By evening, everything was ready, and a Bonfire Party began; of course, the bonfire was the Lizard People’s houses.
The Lizard People didn’t mind; with the Technology Chen Wen gave them, what did they need these dilapidated Thatched Huts for? Burning them was better.
Chen Wen felt the lively Bonfire Feast and felt quite good.
In his past life, he had always been bedridden and had never experienced this kind of lively atmosphere. Although his relatives and friends would celebrate his Birthday every year, he was ultimately out of sync with them.
Coming to this World, although he had some dealings with Yangqiu Village, he was not human and couldn’t integrate with them.
But now, these Lizard People and Sheep-headed People gave him a warm feeling.
Perhaps it was because of the Contract, but he felt he could integrate into their joy.
The Bonfire Feast lasted until late at night.
Chen Wen was also leaving; he still had to find the Magic Crystal.
The Lizard People came to see him off, weeping and wailing, making Chen Wen, who was already somewhat reluctant, speechless.
Let’s go quickly; I can’t stand these guys.
He spread his wings and flew towards the distance.
The Lizard People knelt on the ground crying as if they had lost their parents, making the Sheep-headed People unsure whether they should follow suit.
Chen Wen continued to travel at night and hide during the day.
After two days like this, he finally arrived at a place where Magic Crystals might grow.
It was a Canyon that looked like it had been split open by a giant axe.
He flew into the Canyon and felt a very strong Magical Aura. Such a strong Magical Aura was unbearable for Humans and Magical Creatures for long, but such a place could indeed grow Magic Crystals.
He flew towards the depths of the Canyon. Although the Magical Aura was beneficial to Magical Creatures, it had to be a thin Magical Aura. For example, the Magical Aura emanating from a Magic Tree was very thin and gentle, which was what Magical Creatures liked.
The crude Magical Aura in this Canyon would make even Dragon Clan members uncomfortable.
Chen Wen could still tolerate this level of discomfort, but he didn’t know how long he could last.
He increased his speed, and after arriving in the depths of the Canyon, there was nothing but some messy footprints on the Ground.
“No Magic Crystal?”
The footprints on the Ground looked like those of the Dragon Clan. The Magic Crystals here must have been taken by the Dragon Clan.
Chen Wen secretly felt it was a pity, but he didn’t get discouraged. He left the Canyon and headed to other places where Magic Crystals might grow.
He didn’t find any Magic Crystals after searching four or five places.
He cursed the Dragon Clan in his heart. Damn it, Magic Crystals aren’t edible, and the Dragon Clan doesn’t need Magic Crystals. Why collect so many Magic Crystals?
Fortunately, he soon found a Magic Crystal in a huge Cave.
This Magic Crystal was quite large; it was perfectly suitable for his Staff.
After digging out the Crystal, he left the Cave.
He had obtained the Magic Tree and the Magic Crystal; the rest was up to Ge Wei.
On the way back, he continued to travel at night and hide during the day.
Nothing happened on the first day.
On the second day, while he was hiding in a Mountain Pass,
a loud Dragon Roar suddenly came from the air.
“Shameless thief, stop right there!” A huge voice came from the air.
It was the voice of a dragon; it seemed to be chasing something.
Chen Wen secretly crawled out and looked in the direction from which the voice came.
He saw a huge Red Dragon chasing a Human Mage.
Judging from the Red Dragon’s size, it should be an adult Dragon Clan member.
The Human Mage, realizing he couldn’t escape, turned around and fought the Red Dragon.
The battle between a Human Mage and an adult Dragon Clan member was a valuable opportunity to observe.
Chen Wen secretly watched their battle, but the two quickly fought farther and farther away.
He had to fly into the air and follow them from a distance.
It was difficult for a Human to gain any Benefits from a Dragon Clan member in a one-on-one fight.
Although the Human Mage before him was already very powerful, with various spells emerging endlessly, he became increasingly uncomfortable facing the Dragon Clan’s simple and brutal Attacks and thick-skinned body.
“Aqika, we’re friends, you don’t have to fight so hard.” Seeing the situation was not right, the Human Mage quickly played the emotional card.
“Friend? You shameless thief, you stole so much Gold from me, and you still have the nerve to call yourself a friend? Vile Human Race, die!” The Red Dragon roared angrily, its Attacks becoming even more fierce.
The Human Mage defended with difficulty, but ultimately suffered considerable injuries.
“Stop, stop, stop. I’ll return the Gold to you, okay?” The Human Mage said.
The Red Dragon stopped its attack and stared at the Human Mage, saying, “Quickly hand over the Gold.”
“Here you go, here you go.” The Human Mage used Spatial Magic, and a pile of Gold suddenly appeared above the Red Dragon’s head, falling down.
The Red Dragon’s thick skin prevented it from being harmed, but seeing so many Gold Coins falling, it was startled and quickly stretched out its Claws to grab them.
But with the Dragon Clan’s chicken-claw-like forelimbs, how much could it grab? Most of the Gold fell to the Ground.
The Red Dragon quickly flew down to pick it up, and the Human Mage smirked and immediately flew away.
The Red Dragon only had eyes for the Gold and didn’t bother with him.
But it quickly realized something was wrong. The Gold was too little, less than half of what the Human Mage had stolen.
“Bridge, you bastard.” The Red Dragon roared angrily into the air.
Seeing that they were finished fighting, Chen Wen prepared to go back and continue hiding.
At that moment, the Red Dragon’s voice came: “Little Black Dragon, you’ve been watching for a long time, don’t you dare come over here.”
