Chapter 92: The Other Two Major Cities
The Mechanical City!
In a hilly area, the ground was covered with strange rocks, lying haphazardly. These rocks were enormous, easily two to three meters tall, and Li Feng’s figure constantly darted among them.
This was the first day of his great escape. He was lucky, as the major cities were far apart, and he hadn’t encountered any killer robots. Instead, he had found this secluded spot.
However, Li Feng had a premonition that this peaceful time would soon end. He could feel his safe zone shrinking.
“There’s still an hour until I’m exposed again.” He looked up, occasionally spotting aircraft searching the sky.
He was likely surrounded by an inescapable net.
Li Feng had tried deploying his Rx Pursuers to run automatically and attract attention, but they would malfunction and self-destruct after moving 500 meters away from him.
With no other choice, he kept the Rx Pursuers around him for protection. After taking these precautions, he breathed a sigh of relief and began to calculate.
“After a day of recovery, I can barely use Super God State once. Even if the City Lord appears, I can put up a fight.”
But it would only be a single fight, after which he would have to run again. Moreover, two of his Super God State skills were on cooldown, significantly weakening him.
…
…
Soon, an hour passed.
It was 6 PM.
Li Feng, who had been resting on a small rock, suddenly sat up, his eyes flashing with a startling light. “It’s finally time.”
This was the moment he would be exposed.
*Buzz buzz*
The sound of approaching footsteps and vehicles echoed around him.
Before long, dozens of red lights landed on the rock where Li Feng had been lying, followed by a barrage of small missiles.
This was the terror of the mechanical forces: one trigger, and the whole system responded. As soon as Li Feng’s position was revealed, dozens of killer robots were already on their way.
*Boom!*
The terrifying explosion shattered the rock, sending flames surging outwards and leaving a dark crater in the ground.
Li Feng, who had already moved away, broke out in a cold sweat. His Shadow Swap skill was still on cooldown, meaning death would be permanent.
“Go.”
Seeing the robots closing in, he sent over ten small robots to detonate among them.
*Boom!*
The explosion incinerated the surrounding killer robots.
But for Li Feng, the real threat wasn’t the robots on the ground but the aircraft above. He couldn’t deal with them yet, muttering, “I hope I get some flying skills after the class transfer.”
As Li Feng’s power grew, this weakness became more apparent. Most classes gained powerful anti-air skills after the class transfer.
Warriors had immense explosive power, their blade and sword energy sweeping the skies. Mages could bring down meteors, causing widespread devastation.
Archers were naturally skilled, their arrows as potent as small missiles.
But Li Feng’s small robots were in an awkward position. Though powerful, they could only jump three times in place.
*Boom! Boom!*
After clearing the surrounding killer robots, Li Feng didn’t stay put. The aircraft above had already locked onto him and were continuously dropping bombs.
However, Li Feng had carefully chosen this location. He darted among the rocks, quickly breaking the aircraft’s lock, then plunged into a small river, disappearing from the robots’ sight once more.
◈◈◈
…
…
In a dense forest, a figure emerged from a small river. It was Li Feng, having temporarily shaken off his pursuers. But his expression was far from happy. “The next wave of attacks will be fiercer and stronger.”
This first wave was only successful because he caught them off guard. If Li Feng was right, they were now mobilizing their mechanical army.
“Woof! Woof!”
Before Li Feng could relax, the sound of barking reached him. Six mechanical dogs appeared nearby.
These mechanical dogs were silver, with blue glowing eyes, and stood two meters tall.
“Diga Tech City,” Li Feng muttered, his expression turning grim.
He knew that Bosel Tech City was among the cities hunting him. The appearance of these mechanical dogs reminded him of another of the twelve major cities: Diga Tech City.
This city specialized in bio-mechanical technology. Most of its robots were modeled after wild animals, making them highly effective in outdoor hunting.
“Two of the three major cities have appeared. I hope the third isn’t Thunderbolt Fighter Tech City,” Li Feng took a deep breath.
Thunderbolt Fighter Tech City was particularly troublesome. They excelled in aerial combat, specializing in creating powerful thunderbolt fighters that dominated the skies.
And Li Feng currently had no way to deal with such mechanical lifeforms.
“First, I need to deal with these mechanical dogs.”
Li Feng summoned more small robots. After applying buffs like Mechanical Enhancement, Piety, and Blessing, each small robot’s power was comparable to a missile. They charged towards the mechanical dogs at an astonishing speed.
*Clang! Rattle! Rattle!*
The mechanical dogs transformed, revealing machine gun turrets on their backs. Bullets rained down on the small robots.
Dirt flew, trees snapped, and countless rocks were shattered.
*Boom!*
The Rx Pursuers, instead of being damaged, swelled up and moved even faster, reaching the six mechanical dogs and exploding.
The mechanical dogs were instantly melted by the flames. Since all of Li Feng’s attributes had reached 20, unless a City Lord personally intervened, these killer robots were no match for his Rx Pursuers.
“Too fragile. But if I’m not careful, there’s still a risk.” Li Feng shook his head, seeing how easily the mechanical dogs were destroyed.
The most troublesome aspect of mechanical-type dungeons was their sheer numbers, which could easily wear someone down.
He then activated Ancient Memory. Every half hour, Li Feng would use this skill to maintain his peak condition.
*Whoosh!*
Just then, several terrifying fighter jets streaked across the sky, leaving brilliant trails of color in their wake.
“Speak of the devil,” Li Feng muttered, his expression darkening as he looked at the jets.
