Chapter 88: Exchange of Magic Power
[space_man][space_man]Eld and Marie each drew their magic swords and charged towards the giant monster. Eld slashed at its foreleg with the flame-clad blade imbued with intense heat, but it only singed the fur without inflicting significant damage.

[space_man][space_man]Marie leaped high into the air and swung Meteor down on the top of the giant monster’s head, but the monster blocked it with its foreleg and brushed it aside.

[space_man][space_man]Moira had activated a binding spell just before the two attacked, but because the monster was too large, she misjudged the distance and couldn’t capture it properly.

[space_man][space_man]Marie swept Meteor horizontally, attempting to trip the giant monster, but the moment it hit the monster’s leg, the monster jumped up and landed back in the same spot without falling over.

[space_man][space_man]Marie channeled magic power into Meteor and swung it down at the giant monster again. However, the monster’s forelegs blocked the attack, preventing her from hitting its torso.

[space_man][space_man]Eld asked while constantly generating ice for restraint as the giant monster thrashed and struggled.

She struck the falling monster with Meteor, launching it high into the sky again. Again and again, it fell and was launched back up by Meteor. She repeated this about four times, and on the fifth time it fell, she swung Meteor with a wide arc, launching it higher than ever before.
