Ch 124: A city scarred by devastation, with Super Beasts appearing one after another.
“Hu, hu!”
Chen Yi breathed heavily, his form shifting into a red orb as he continuously traversed space.
Chen Yi looked at the familiar surroundings before him, using all his strength to perform space travel, while Leo shot off like a streak of light.
A white light flashed, Chen Yi rubbed his eyes, freezing in place. He couldn’t recover for a long time.
Chen Yi stared at the scene before him in disbelief.
Yesterday, it was a city bustling with cars and people, vibrant and lively. Now, skyscrapers were broken in half, steel and concrete scattered like broken building blocks.
The once-bustling commercial streets were now filled with ruins and rubble, with a pungent smell of smoke everywhere.
“How… how could this be?”
Chen Yi didn’t have time to rest; his heart sank as he sensed his mother’s location.
In Tianxing City, several Super Beasts were rampaging; much time had clearly passed here.
“Damn it.”
Chen Yi vanished on the spot, leaving a meteor trail.
Tianxing City.
Northern Black Tortoise and the members of the hut Defense Force were resisting the Super Beasts’ attack.
“Damn it, don’t underestimate humanity!”
Zhou Hao piloted his mecha, constantly sliding across the ground, the mecha’s cannons erupting wildly.
“Don’t be reckless! Zhou Hao!”
Li Wei shouted, this monster before them was no ordinary foe.
The monster swung the iron hammer in its hand, smashing it into Zhou Hao’s mecha with blinding speed.
“Boom!”
Countless sparks erupted, Zhou Hao’s eyes bulging in pain.
He was sent flying, crashing into the ruins of a building, falling silent.
“Damn it, damn it!”
Not only here, but every city was plunged into terror. These Super Beasts were terrifyingly powerful and numerous.
Jingming City.
Zhou Chuyi looked at Ye Wusheng in his mecha not far away. Wasn’t he Leo Ultraman?
Why wasn’t he transforming?
Zhou Chuyi was certain that Ye Wusheng was definitely not Leo Ultraman.
No, no, no!
Even if he transformed, what difference would it make? Humanity couldn’t rely too much on alien lifeforms.
“We don’t have much time!”
Ye Wusheng shouted, and Southern Vermilion Bird and Western White Tiger, upon hearing the call, took up their formations.
The longer they delayed, the more dangerous it became for Xuanwu.
A red light flashed, and the monster before them exploded, instantly turning to ash.
The crowd followed the energy’s source, a red figure appearing in the air. Their eyes gleamed with hope.
“It’s Leo, Leo Ultraman!”
“Leo!”
People only saw that when Leo appeared, light would flash, bringing hope.
Chen Yi glanced at the crowd, didn’t linger, and flew towards another battlefield.
He would use his remaining strength to protect everything here, even if his body was crumbling.
When Chen Yi arrived at Tianxing City, the once luxurious city had become a wasteland.
Several Super Beasts were wreaking havoc without restraint.
Chen Yi gritted his teeth; this red figure resembled a meteor, constantly eliminating the darkness.
“Bang!”
A beam of light stopped Chen Yi, sending him crashing to the ground.
He endured the pain, looked up, and saw countless wrecked mechas. He froze in place.
Anger surged through him. Even if he used his last ounce of strength, he would kill the monster before him.
“Tyrant Tyrant…”
Chen Yi gritted his teeth, blood dripping from his mouth, his body unable to support him.
But Chen Yi stood up, fueled by sheer willpower.
This was his home; he would never let it be destroyed!
“Roar!”
Tyrant Tyrant let out a deafening, aggressive roar.
It shook its body, the meteor hammer in its hand clanging.
Chen Yi took out Red Steel, transforming it into nunchucks, and charged forward, the two engaging in combat.
“Bang, bang!”
In his prime, Chen Yi wouldn’t fear Tyrant, but his body was near its limit.
Even Feili had used up all its energy for him and fallen into a deep sleep.
One heavy blow after another landed on Chen Yi’s back, causing the hearts of those hidden in the ruins to ache.
Leo mustn’t lose.
Chen Yi endured the pain in his back, rolling continuously on the ground.
Tyrant Tyrant unleashed its War Stomp, shaking the very ground.
Chen Yi stood up, his consciousness blurring. Looking at Tyrant approaching, he had no more strength left.
A Space Slash hit Tyrant; Chang Ze Yue rushed to its back, holding it to restrict its movements.
Chen Yi shook his head, his head feeling heavy, as if he heard something.
“Leo… Leo.”
“Senior Leo!”
“Sen… Senior!?”
Chen Yi snapped out of it. Seeing that Tyrant was restrained, Chen Yi endured the excruciating pain, assuming the Dragon Claw stance, his hands erupting with fiery red energy shockwaves.
“Leo Lux Ray!”
“Buzz, buzz!”
Seeing this, Chang Ze Yue quickly retreated into space, disappearing.
A violent explosion rang out; Chen Yi had no strength left and collapsed.
When the light faded, Chen Yi lay quietly amidst the ruins.
A Man in Black appeared behind him. This was the perfect opportunity to kill Leo.
A dark red energy wave flashed from the Man in Black’s hand.
A Space Black Hole appeared, and Chang Ze Yue, whom Chen Yi had once saved, appeared beside him, pulling Chen Yi into space.
“Damn it.”
The Man in Black’s eyes bulged. He never expected another alien to help him.
“However, you’re lucky.”
The Man in Black didn’t care. He looked at where Chen Yi had disappeared, for he had completed his evolution.
If one looked closely, there was a Y-shaped letter on his forehead, this Y brighter and more dazzling.
Chang Ze Yue, still shaken, used space travel to bring Chen Yi to Xie An.
Upon seeing Xie An, Chang Ze Yue couldn’t hold on any longer and collapsed.
Xie An hurriedly gathered a medical team to send the two for emergency treatment.
Chen Yi had a dream; King of Ultra stood beside him.
He pointed at the sky, not knowing what to say.
He dreamed of Blue Star’s destruction; the enemies were too strong, too terrifying, completely beyond his capacity to handle.
Had he lost?
