Ch 179: Charging into Darkness
“Damn thing!”
The Black Mist began to fluctuate violently, spreading outward from Belial as its center.
Chen Yi’s eyes fixed on this scene, his hands trembling uncontrollably; his body began to act without his control.
“Damn…”
“Older Brother!?”
The entire mecha trembled. Chen Yi snapped back to reality. Only about 30 seconds had passed, but his body was already beyond his control. Chen Yi said in a low voice,
“Feili, don’t slack off.”
Zhou Chuyi and the others in the Divine Space seemed to have noticed something. Their expressions tightened, and their hearts skipped a beat.
They saw Chen Yi’s appearance suddenly age, his black hair mixed with a large amount of white hair. His body began to rapidly shrink, with visible cracks and exposed bones.
“Chen… Chen Yi, you!?”
“Instructor?”
The people inside the Divine Space stared blankly at this scene. A moment ago, he was full of vitality, but now he looked like a dying old man, a flickering candle in the wind, precarious.
“I’m fine, snap out of it!”
Chen Yi suddenly roared. He looked ahead; a greater crisis was imminent, leaving no room for them to think about anything else.
Everyone snapped back to reality. They looked up and could no longer remain calm. Directly above them were countless golden monsters formed from black mist and lightning, densely packed, covering the entire sky.
Each of these energies could obliterate everything in a single strike, let alone thousands or tens of thousands.
“This, this!?”
Chen Yi’s expression tightened. He looked at Boyigu, whose face was now ashen. He didn’t know if he could withstand this attack.
Chen Yi realized he couldn’t delay any longer; he would use his strongest attack in coordination with Boyigu to repel it.
Chen Yi had one more move; he had planned to save it in case Boyigu suddenly betrayed him, but if he didn’t use it now, he would never have another chance.
“Boyigu, listen to me, I need two minutes.”
“Two minutes, and I can completely eliminate this monster.”
“Two minutes?”
“You!?”
Boyigu’s face darkened, his expression shocked. This guy, this guy!?
He actually still had a hidden card. This trump card was probably reserved for himself; his mind was so deep.
“You better be telling the truth.”
In an instant, the entire world suddenly bloomed with seven-colored light. This energy made Boyigu’s heart ache, but for greater power, he could only bear the pain.
Chen Yi controlled the Divine Mecha, his legs in a Horse Stance. He opened his hands, palms facing each other, his thumbs and index fingers forming a Palm Cannon.
Everyone struck the same pose as Chen Yi. The Divine Mecha began to emit an unbearable light, and the space began to make a booming sound.
The air currents in the sky began to reverse their flow of time. Those outside only saw a giant monster descending into chaos, emitting strange roars, each one like a war drum, captivating everyone’s minds.
Those in outer space, looking at the gray-blue planet, seemed to sense this energy and focused their attention on the glowing location.
Those inside the Divine Mecha only saw a ball of light appear on Chen Yi’s chest.
Illuminated by this light, his face became contorted, his body trembling. They dared not move, fearing that their actions would cause the power-up to fail.
“Stage Two, seventy percent.”
The Void Darkness also noticed the powerful energy emanating from the Divine Mecha. To be safe, it began to increase its output of Dark Energy until it reached its peak.
Boyigu looked at the increasing number of golden monsters, gritting his teeth, his anger unrestrained.
The light moved with body and mind. At this moment, the people hidden behind rushed forward, contributing their bit of strength.
“Older Brother, your body!?”
“Feili!”
Chen Yi rebuked Feili. Even as his body disintegrated, he maintained incredible composure, showing no flaws.
“A little pain… means nothing…”
“Aaaaaah!”
“Eighty percent, eighty-one…”
The mecha completed Stage Two and began charging for the final stage. Cracks appeared in the surrounding space, revealing a multicolored gray world within.
It was strangely beautiful. The extra-dimensional space was torn open, steam resembling a Dragon’s Roar vented its final discontent.
The Void Darkness became even angrier, and all the Dark Golden Thunder Dragons targeted the Divine Mecha.
It broke through Boyigu’s defense. Boyigu’s expression changed; the Dark Golden Thunder Dragon charged directly towards Chen Yi’s position.
The Divine Mecha’s charging was at its most critical moment. Even Chen Yi hadn’t expected to fail at the last step.
At every crucial moment, someone always steps forward.
Just like before, they knew that hope rested in the hands of those people. Even with only a sliver of hope, they were willing to entrust their hopes to them.
Numerous unnamed mechas lined up, using themselves as shields to create a protective barrier. This was their last energy, their last effort.
Chen Yi clenched his jaw, his teeth gritted. He watched this scene, feeling more anger and sadness than anyone else.
Yet, he still maintained an indifferent demeanor, the appearance of someone who could control the battlefield.
To unleash the mecha’s most powerful energy, it needed a long charging time, but charging created opportunities.
“Sorry…”
Chen Yi murmured these three words, the helplessness like a sharp blade, stabbing into his body, again and again.
“Buzz buzz!”
The Golden Lightning Dragon pierced through their bodies, without hesitation. This power was beyond the capacity of ordinary people to resist.
“Boom, boom!”
They didn’t speak, they didn’t complain, but Chen Yi knew they were more afraid of death than anyone else because they had families, and so did he.
Of all of them, Chen Yi feared death the most—fearing leaving his family, fearing his family leaving him. They felt the same.
Those in the Divine Mecha could only watch silently. This scene—they’d already witnessed it twice today—each time stopping their hearts and making it hard to breathe.
As if hearing something, the Divine Mecha emitted a mournful sound, and its powerful energy reversed, forming a vortex that destroyed everything around it.
Energy compressed into a strange spatial Storm surging wildly.
“Blow it up!”
“Blast it!”
From within the Divine Mecha, a Chaos Monster capable of devouring everything erupted, the world instantly darkening, and the entire planet violently trembling.
Boyigu used the last of his strength to rush to the distance, using the remaining energy in his body to block the Shockwave.
Under the effect of the Reverse Spark, red, blue, and green energies intertwined and rotated.
The beam of light was enormous, like a spear piercing through chaos, reducing everything it struck to ashes.
All humanity watched this energy, entrusting their remaining hope to it.
This energy broke through all obstacles, and as it neared Belial, it split into two rays, surging towards two weak points.
“Bang bang, boom!”
The giant beams pierced Belial’s weak points, venting its fury into the dark starry sky of the universe.
Belial was knocked back a step, its body beginning to fall backward.
The wind howled, the rain surged, the thunder roared, and Chen Yi poured the last of his Qi into the Black Hole.
Once the energy entered the Black Hole, it began to churn violently. Belial began to rapidly expand, followed by a massive explosion that instantly shook the entire world.
“Boom, boom!”
