Ch 104: The Children

Katerina’s Heavenly Thunder had already eliminated quite a few goblins clustered together, but there were still many goblins trying to run to her side.

“Tsk, they’re really tenacious. Sera, keep the children close to me!”

“Yes!”

Katerina used the end of her staff to bat away two goblins approaching her, then told Sera and the children to stay close. Master Fei’er, when teaching her magic, also taught her some martial arts, lest she be unable to counterattack when approached.

On Randall’s side, he had slain the last Warrior Goblin. At this time, the Goblin Lord had also recovered all his injuries. He looked at Randall before him, let out an angry roar, and began to swing the wooden club in his hand.

But the Goblin Lord wouldn’t give him that chance; it quickly ran to Randall’s side and smashed its wooden stick down on him.

Randall rolled to dodge the attack, but the shockwave created by the Goblin Lord still injured Randall’s right hand, so he had to use his left hand to wield his sword and continue to stand against the Goblin Lord.

The perspective shifts to Bal.

Bal and Phia quickly found Lisa’s Husband, who had fled to the foot of the Snow Mountain. He saw that the man had lost his left arm, his body covered in blood, lying on the ground, dying.

“Let’s go!”

Bal sprinted forward, he cleaved the monster in front of the man with one strike, and Phia immediately used Healing Magic to treat the severely injured man.

“Cough, cough… What…”

“Don’t speak, we were commissioned by Lisa to save you.”

The man coughed twice after waking up; he looked at the two people before him in confusion. Phia stopped the man from trying to get up and explained her intentions. Upon hearing that Lisa was still alive, he immediately struggled to sit up.

“My child! My children! Ugh…”

“Don’t worry, someone has gone to save your children. You’re badly injured; I need to take you back for treatment first.”

After Phia finished speaking, she used Teleportation Magic to send the man back to the Guild Office. After instructing Selena to find a doctor, she returned to Bal’s side.

“Where should we go next?”

Phia anxiously asked, looking at Bal’s furrowed brow.

“I’m not sure, they haven’t signaled yet. But I think Nick’s situation is more troublesome.”

As soon as Bal finished speaking, a bright Magic Signal Flare flew from the sky above Randall’s direction. Randall and his party were in danger.

“Phia, send me to Randall and the others, you go reinforce Nick!”

“Right!”

After Phia teleported Bal near the signal, she went in Nick’s direction.

“Katerina, hit the ground!”

As soon as Bal appeared, he made Katerina hit the ground. He threw several knives, each knife hitting a goblin squarely between the eyes. After quickly eliminating the nearby goblins, Bal came to Katerina and Sera’s side. He looked at the children beside them and nodded.

“Good job, Katerina, Sera. Where’s Randall?”

“Randall is holding off the Goblin Lord in that cave, you should go save him quickly!”

After hearing this, Bal immediately ran towards the cave. Randall might not be able to defeat the Goblin Lord yet; hopefully he can protect himself.

When Bal arrived, Randall had just plunged his sword into the Goblin Lord’s core, successfully killing it.

“Randall! Are you alright?!”

“Master?!”

Bal quickly ran to Randall’s side and examined him. Randall had multiple abrasions and contusions, two broken ribs, a fractured right arm, and a sprained left foot. So Bal carried Randall out of the cave.

“Well done, but don’t overexert yourself like that next time. Your team members and Anda will worry about you.”

“Master… how are the children?”

“They’re fine. You can rest for a while; I’ll take care of things from here.”

Randall smiled a little while on Bal’s back, then passed out. Bal carried Randall to Sera’s side. Sera saw Randall’s injuries and quickly used Healing Magic to treat him.

“Master Buck, is Randall alright?”

Katerina looked at Randall with great concern.

“His injuries aren’t serious; he just fainted from exhaustion. You’ve all done very well.”

Bal encouraged the three of them. After Sera had treated Randall’s external wounds, Bal carried Randall, taking Katerina and Sera, and the children they rescued, back.

Phia was flying in the sky. After detecting Nick’s magic, she landed near them.

“Nick, are you all alright?”

Phia ran to Nick and the others. Nick was carrying a child back.

“We’re fine, this child fainted. How about your side?”

“I found Lisa’s Husband; Buck has already gone to Randall’s location.”

“That’s good. Let’s gather with Guildmaster Buck.”

Phia nodded, confirming that they were all safe, and teleported everyone to Randall’s home, allowing them to set out from Randall’s house to take the children to the guild before returning to Bal.

A white light flashed before Bal’s eyes, and Phia appeared before everyone.

“Master Fei’er!”

Katerina was very excited to see Phia. After Bal told Phia about Randall’s condition, Phia cast powerful Healing Magic, completely healing Randall’s injuries.

“So… so amazing!”

Sera was also impressed by Phia’s powerful Healing Magic, and she looked at Phia with great admiration. Phia noticed Sera’s gaze and smiled.

Sera bowed to Phia. Phia helped Sera up, and then used Teleportation Magic to send everyone to Randall’s home. At this time, Nick and his party had already set off. After Bal and Phia entrusted Katerina and Sera with Randall’s care, the two of them took the children to the Guild.

Bal pointed to the several children beside him. Lisa saw them and immediately hugged the children.

“They’re all alive, not a single one missing. Thank you so much, Adventurers.”

After comforting Lisa, Bal told her to stay at Gu’er’s Inn for the time being.

“May I ask for your names?”

Lisa asked Bal and Phia’s names before leaving.

“My name is Buck, she is my wife, Fei’er. Your children were saved by Randall, you should thank Randall.”

After listening, Lisa bowed to thank them and left with her children.

But now there’s a problem. Who is the child Nick carried back?

Lisa’s Husband has been sent to the doctor for treatment. But what to do with the child Nick carried back?

“Wouldn’t this child be a missing child from the town?”

“Don’t be silly, the place where this child was found is quite far from town. Forget children, even a normal adult would be tired from traveling that distance.”

The child is about five years old, with black hair, and is asleep. It’s hard to tell what her eyes look like.

“Daddy!”

“Daddy?”

The Child Sister looked up at Bal in confusion, listening to his words.

Phia came closer then, she looked at the Child Sister, and felt something was wrong. So she touched the Child Sister’s head, and sure enough, there was a problem.

“Everyone misunderstood, this child is a Dragonkin. She has underdeveloped horns on her head, and she definitely has scales on her chest.”

“Huh?”

Everyone looked at the Child Sister hugging Bal in surprise.
