Ch 152: Trust Me, The Villa’s By The Sea
After saying goodbye to Lena and Coordon, Bal and Phia went to Leighton’s warehouse to stock up.
“Oh, it’s Mr. Bal. Is it the same order as last time?”
The White Elephant Tribe elder who managed the warehouse smiled kindly. Bal shook his head and took out the order.
“A bit more this time. The artisans I work with are a bitโฆ peculiar. Thank you for your trouble.”
“Hee hee hee. Go ahead.”
After loading the ore into Phia’s extradimensional space, they said goodbye to the elder and used Teleportation Magic to arrive at Kofit’s Blacksmith Shop in a deserted place.
“Is anyone there?”
Bal pushed open the door. As soon as he entered, he heard Kofit’s roar.
“I’m not doing business this period!”
“Grandpa Kofit, it’s me, Fei’er.”
Upon hearing Phia’s voice, a clattering sound came from Kofit’s workshop, and then Kofit rushed out.
“Fei’er, you brat? You’re still alive?”
Kofit looked at the two in surprise. Phia and Bal both nodded with smiles.
“Alive, and you don’t come see this old man sooner? You brat!”
Kofit picked up the hammer beside him and swung it at Bal. Bal was startled by this action and dodged Kofit’s attack.
“Why are you hitting me?”
“Because you deserve it!”
“What about Fei’er?”
“Fei’er did nothing wrong. Only you, you brat!”
After brandishing the hammer for a while, Kofit sat down on the ground, smiling with relief, but his eyes were full of tears.
“Grandpa Kofit, why are you crying?”
Phia asked Kofit with concern. Kofit wiped away a tear and said in a choked voice.
“This old man is not crying. I just got dust in my eyes.”
Bal and Phia sat on either side of Kofit, keeping him company until he calmed down.
“Grandpa Kofit, I brought you a lot of ore. I hope you’re satisfied.”
“It’s good you’re back. It’s good you’re back.”
Kofit took the two to the storehouse. Phia poured out all the ore from her extradimensional space, and the ore instantly filled the storehouse.
“Good! I’m happy today, I’ll make something for you!”
Kofit looked at the ore in the storehouse and happily announced this.
“What?”
“Brat, what’s it to you? Shove off, don’t bother this old man’s fun.”
Bal was chased away by Kofit and had to go home.
As soon as Bal got home, he lay down on the sofa to rest.
“Daddy! Hug!”
Philia returned from the backyard. As soon as she saw Bal, she rushed over, and Bal hugged Philia and rubbed her head.
“Hmm? Did your horns grow again?”
Bal touched the hard protrusions on Philia’s head, and he was sure that Philia’s horns had grown.
Hearing Bal’s words, Philia touched her own head.
“Um, they seem to have grown. If my horns have grown, will Daddy hate Philia?”
Philia looked at Bal with some worry. Children are often troubled by small things.
“Of course not! Philia is Daddy’s forever darling!”
Bal gently tapped Philia’s forehead. Philia covered her forehead and laughed in Bal’s arms.
“Dumb Dog, did you wash your hands? Go wash your hands before touching Philia!”
Phia came out of the bathroom. Seeing Bal holding Philia, she immediately spoke up.
“Darling, Daddy’s going to wash his hands.”
“Okay!”
Bal got up and went to the bathroom. Philia directly moved to Phia’s lap.
“Mommy~”
“What’s wrong, little darling? So clingy today.”
“Hee hee.”
Phia rubbed Philia’s head. The living room was very warm.
After dinner, Grey sought Bal out for a private conversation. As soon as Bal heard Grey’s question, he pulled Grey outside. Nia wanted to follow, but Phia stopped her at the door.
“Nia, give the men some space.”
“Sister-in-law, aren’t you worried about Brother going out to do something bad?”
“Hmph, he dares.”
Seeing Phia’s composed demeanor, Nia also decided to ask Phia some questions.
Bal and Grey went to the tavern. After each ordering a beer and peanuts, they began to chat.
“So, you want to further develop your relationship with Nia?”
Grey nodded. He was currently struggling with some things, wanting to get married but feeling something was missing, so he came to ask a married man for advice.
“Hahaha, I’ll teach you. Doesn’t Nia like alchemy? Then give her alchemy materials.”
“Where am I going to find alchemy materials?”
Bal smiled mysteriously.
“Do you remember the two fairy birds at home? Take some dried fish and ask them, and they’ll take you to a safe place to gather herbs.”
“Oh! Is there such a thing?!”
Bal leaned close to Grey’s ear and whispered.
“Do you think my tavern bill comes from nothing, huh? These two fairy birds are like family to me, they need to be well-fed and cared for. Believe me, villa by the sea!”
Grey nodded, finished his beer in one gulp, and went home. Bal slowly enjoyed the peanuts and beer, looking very comfortable.
“Sir, a rather handsome young man said you’ll pay for this table’s bill. The total is One Silver Coin Thirty Copper Coins.”
The waiter came to Bal to ask for the bill. Bal sighed, took out the money, and handed it to the waiter.
“That Grey!”
Nia and Phia were sitting in Bal’s study.
“You mean you want Grey to be more proactive?”
Nia nodded. Phia smiled and began to give Nia advice.
“To make a man proactive, you have to show your weakness. That Dumb Dog was completely smitten by this trick.”
“But I heard from Brother that it was Sister-in-law who was proactive?”
“Nonsense! He confessed first! Nia, come, I’ll teach you. Doesn’t Grey like your gentle demeanor? Show weakness, pretend to be afraid of something, then throw yourself into his arms. Men fall for that every time. Believe me, villa by the sea!”
“Okay, I’ll think of a reason to ask him out.”
“Be clever, don’t act too fake.”
Nia left Bal’s study thoughtfully. She came to the living room, where two fairy birds were huddled together for warmth. Nia looked at them enviously and took two small dried fish to the fairy birds.
“Moony, Snowdrift. How can I go out with Grey?”
“?”
Moony and Snowdrift tilted their heads, looking a little puzzled, but they ate the dried fish anyway.
After Nia left for her room, Grey happened to return. He also took two small dried fish to Moony and Snowdrift.
“Moony, Snowdrift. Bal said you know a place with various rare herbs. Can you take me there?”
“! !”
Moony and Snowdrift nodded happily. They ate the dried fish and rubbed against Grey’s hand.
“How about tomorrow?”
“!”
The fairy birds agreed, and Grey excitedly returned to his room.
Bal returned home ten minutes after Grey went upstairs. He went to Moony and Snowdrift, teased the birds a little, and then went to his room.
“You’re back?”
As soon as Bal entered, he saw Phia sitting by the bed in a semi-transparent nightgown. Bal was a decent man, and he couldn’t stand this.
So Bal launched an attack. Bal A’d, Bal had a huge advantage, Bal got a GG.
It was another intense night, but one bull got tired from plowing the field.
