Merry watched Bal’s confident look, and she covered her mouth, giggling.

Merry playfully winked at Bal. During this time, Merry and Bal had gotten along very well.

“Let’s go.”

Merry patted Bal’s shoulder. Bal went back to the room and told Philia to wait for him to come back before following Merry out of the house.

Merry took out her staff and used Teleportation Magic to teleport herself and Bal to a place near where Demon General Ares was.

“Ah, nostalgic feeling.”

Bal stretched his body, drew the Red Longsword from his waist. It was a weapon Merry had specially customized for Bal some time ago.

“Alright, let’s get serious.”

After saying that, Merry walked ahead, leading Bal to find Ares.

After walking for a while, Merry stopped in front of a distorted building, and Bal stopped as well.

“We’re here?”

“Yeah.”

Bal walked in front of Merry, raised his longsword, and after gathering his magic, fired a Light Cannon at the distorted building.

“Hey, grandson! I’m here!”

Seeing the building blasted with a hole by the Light Cannon, Merry’s eyelids twitched.

Bal turned to Merry, smiled, and then raised his longsword above his head.

“Celestial Light!”

The Celestial Light, which should have descended from the sky, didn’t react. Bal tilted his head and prepared to release the Celestial Light again. A black Sword Qi flew from the building towards Bal, and Bal immediately raised his sword to split the Sword Qi.

“Hey hey hey, coming at ya.”

“What a fool?”

Ares, wearing black armor, walked out of the building, holding a silver longsword pointed at Bal.

“So eager to die, I’ll grant your wish.”

After saying that, Ares charged at Bal with his sword. He attacked Bal, but Bal deflected all of Ares’s attacks.

“Is that all?”

Bal continued to taunt Ares. Although Ares was covered in armor, his visible redness intensified.

“Damn it, you’re dead!”

Ares covered his sword with a black magic, and his speed increased. But Bal still calmly deflected Ares’s attacks.

“Why can’t I hit you?”

After seeing that he couldn’t hurt Bal, Ares stopped in his tracks.

“Hero’s Power, kid.”

Bal threw his Wolfskin Cloak aside and pushed up his nonexistent glasses.

“I don’t care if you’re a hero or a coward, you’re dying today!”

Saying that, Ares raised his sword above his head. A powerful magic froze Bal’s relaxed expression.

“Hey hey, if you can’t win, use your ultimate move, huh?”

Bal also raised his longsword above his head, and then the two began a Light Cannon clash. After both roared, an Explosion occurred at the point of the clash. Then a Stone Coffin landed on Ares.

“Who turned off the lights?”

Ares was trapped in the Stone Coffin. He struggled hard, but Merry didn’t give him a chance. She used magic to create a transparent Cube to enclose the Stone Coffin and then prepared to seal it.

“Don’t…underestimate…me!”

Ares roared from inside the Stone Coffin. Seeing the situation was bad, Bal immediately pulled Merry away from Ares, and then the Stone Coffin exploded.

“You…will all…die!”

Ares’s eyes emitted Red Light. Merry knew that her experiment had failed, so she immediately used Teleportation Magic to teleport herself and Bal back to her home.

“Whew, that scared me.”

Bal saw the familiar scenery around him and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

“Are you alright?”

Bal reached out to help Merry up. Merry grabbed Bal’s hand; she didn’t seem to be upset about the failure.

“Looking at you, it seems like you have a way to deal with this?”

“Yes, but we should leave. Ares will be coming after us soon.”

With that said, a giant white Magic Formation appeared beneath Merry’s house, a flash of White Light, and both of them and the entire house were teleported to an unknown place.

“Okay, we’re safe now. Go inside.”

Hearing Merry say it was okay to go inside, Bal immediately returned to the room. Seeing that Philia was alright, Bal breathed a sigh of relief.

“Father, where are we now?”

“We’re in a safe place.”

“The experiment failed?”

“Not really, Merry has a solution.”

“That’s great, we can go home!”

“Yes, home.”

Bal patted Philia’s head and looked at the sky outside the window. Merry walked into the room and called Bal out.

“Help me remake the Stone Coffin later.”

“Okay.”
