Ch 462: Does Fishing While Picking Tea Leaves Bring Good Luck?
The next day, Bal and Phia went to Rea’s Farm, and Rea happened to be preparing to go to the Flying Dragon Territory.
“Ah, you’re here. I calculated the days, and I felt you should come to find me.”
Rea, after seeing Bal and Phia at the door, immediately led them into the farm. Phia wasn’t surprised.
“Rea, have you ever grown tea before?”
“When I was little, I did. Back then, I also went to pick tea leaves with my family.”
“That’s great. Speaking of which, can you process tea leaves here?”
“Can’t you stir-fry tea yourself?”
Bal interrupted the two’s conversation. He had just drunk tea stir-fried by Phia yesterday. Now that Phia suddenly said she wanted Rea to make tea, he didn’t quite understand.
“Silly, our pot is too small. If you let me do it, how long will it take me?”
“Hahaha, it’s okay. I should be able to help process the tea leaves here, black tea and green tea are both fine. I will have someone tell you guys later.”
Rea smiled, indicating it was okay. It was clear that he was also looking forward to this tea.
“Then we’ll trouble you later, Rea.”
“No problem, Miss Fei’er, just wait!”
Several people went to the teleportation formation Phia had set up at Rea’s farm to go to the Flying Dragon Territory. For this trip, Phia specifically borrowed Hamlet from Nia. After teleporting to the Flying Dragon Territory, Rea went straight to the tea plantation. Bal pulled Hamlet, who had been playing tricks behind his back, down from his back.
“Hamlet, be good, or Nia will be angry.”
After being warned by Phia, Hamlet immediately became well-behaved, but it wasn’t being held by Bal; instead, it flew into Phia’s arms to ask for a hug. Phia hugged Hamlet, and Bal felt jealous.
“How old are you, still needing a hug? Shame on you.”
“You have the nerve to say that? Who here is older than you? Old monster.”
“That’s debatable, Yselle should be older than me.”
“Hilarious, she is indeed older than you.”
The two bickered all the way to the tea plantation. The wyvern guarding the place greeted Rea. Seeing Bal and Phia arrive with Hamlet, it immediately waved its forepaw towards Phia.
“Ah, you’re here. I was just talking to the wyvern about the tea plantation. Oh my, they are so enthusiastic.”
Rea walked to Bal’s side and continued.
“Oh my, these wyverns are quite enthusiastic. I think they plan to have the small wyverns help with the picking.”
“Wow, that’s great.”
“Yeah, the greenhouse is just preparing for sowing, and I’m still considering whether to assign people to pick the tea leaves. You know, many people in town like to drink tea.”
“Indeed, I also plan to send some tea leaves to my friends.”
“Oh? Will I get some?”
“Of course! In fact, the first one will be for you. Your farm has also provided our family with a lot of vegetables, we’re more than happy.”
“Oh, then I’ll stir-fry the tea with twelve points of spirit, and I will definitely stir-fry the best tea!”
“Really? Then I’ll be looking forward to it.”
“Humph.”
The two chatted for a while, and a group of small wyverns flew over. They were about the same size as Hamlet, and they all surrounded Hamlet when they saw it.
“They must be Hamlet’s friends.”
Phia leaned on Bal’s shoulder; she seemed to be thinking about something.
“It’s a pity Nia is busy today, otherwise, it would be good to have her come over as a translator.”
Bal gently stroked Phia’s head resting on his shoulder; the scene was very heartwarming. After greeting Hamlet, the small wyverns flew to Rea.
“Mr. Buck, what are they trying to do?”
Bal thought for a moment.
“I think they probably haven’t picked tea leaves before and want you to teach them.”
“Oh, right! Okay, I’ll teach them how to pick tea!”
“Then let’s go sightseeing. When you’re done, have Hamlet come find me.”
“Okay.”
Bal took Phia away from the tea plantation. Another purpose of his visit was fishing. Bal could hardly remember the last time he went fishing. He took Phia to the riverbank.
“Quick, quick, quick, take out my fishing tackle bag.”
Phia sighed, then took out the fishing tackle bag from her extradimensional space.
“Here.”
“Hehe, my wife is still the best.”
“If you really think I’m good, then you carry it yourself next time.”
“Isn’t it because Hamlet doesn’t like the fishing tackle bag?”
“You’re the one who made that happen.”
Phia casually took out two folding chairs and unfolded them by the riverbank.
“Oh! You even prepared this!”
“Hmph, that’s not all.”
Phia then took out another fishing tackle bag, and Bal found the bag a bit familiar.
“Did you bring your own fishing tackle bag?”
“Because I suddenly wanted to fish too. Alright, alright, don’t stand, sit down and let’s have a competition.”
“Then I definitely won’t lose this time, because I heard the fishing god whispering in my ear, saying I’ll win.”
“Is there such a god?”
“Gods, as long as there is faith, will exist!”
“Why don’t you look in a mirror and say that again?”
“Ahahahaha, never mind, let’s fish!”
To say that Bal hadn’t fished in a while, when the first fish took the bait, he almost forgot to set the hook.
“Wow! So heavy, strong and powerful! It must be a big one, hmph, let you see the strength of a super fishing king!”
Hearing Bal’s silly words, Phia covered her face.
“Don’t say you know me outside.”
Just as Phia was still covering her face, she suddenly felt her fishing rod vibrate violently.
“Oh! I’ve got a bite too, so heavy!”
The two struggled with the fish together. After about ten minutes, they both pulled the fish out of the water.
“…Do you think this kind of thing usually happens?”
Phia looked at the fish she caught, she stared blankly.
“I don’t know either, it’s the first time I’ve seen this.”
Only one fish was lying on the ground, but it was very big, caught by two fishing lines. Bal’s fishhook was bitten in the fish’s mouth, and Phia’s hook was interesting; it seemed that the big fish struggled too hard, and its tail was caught on Phia’s hook.
However, this shock quickly turned into joy because the fish was very large and Bal’s family couldn’t finish it. Bal used a twig to hang the fish and returned to the tea plantation. Rea was stunned when he saw the fish on Bal’s back.
“So big…”
The wyverns heard Rea’s voice, they also turned to look, and after seeing the big fish on Bal’s back, the wyverns also opened their mouths in amazement.
Bal thought for a moment; he decided to grill the fish on the spot and give it to the wyverns. After all, they helped him and Rea manage the tea trees and pick the tea leaves, so this reward was appropriate.
After Rea finished picking the first round of tea leaves, Bal also prepared to make a fire and grill the fish. With the wyverns’ consent, Phia used a tree as firewood and a grill. After the fish was cooked, it was given to Rea and the wyverns.
“It’s delicious, not very fishy. It must be because the water here is good.”
Rea praised the deliciousness of the fish. Bal thought for a moment, took out his water bottle, used magic to remove the water inside, and went to the river where he fished to get water. He wanted to try what effect using this water to boil tea would have.
Since Rea’s farm still had a lot of things to do, he went back with the tea leaves. After Bal distributed the grilled fish to the small wyverns, he put out the fire and went home with Phia.
“I’m kind of looking forward to it.”
“Yeah.”
