Ch 47: Operation Moonlit Festival Date: Day Two (part 2)
Nia, after finishing Bal’s pan-fried steak, lay on the sofa motionless. Bal sighed and covered her with a blanket.
“You lie down right after eating, watch out for getting fat, then no one will want you.”
“I don’t listen, I don’t listen, if I can’t get married, then you’ll take responsibility for fattening me up and continue to support me.”
Bal heard Nia’s words and immediately knocked her on the head.
“It hurts! Sister-in-law, you control him.”
“If I were him, I would also hit her.”
“Wuwuwu, you bullies.”
After an argument, Nia sat up wrapped in a blanket, then looked curiously at Phia.
“Sister-in-law has a Demon Race aura, Bal, how did you chase after your sister-in-law?”
Bal, upon hearing this, immediately put on a smug expression.
“What do you mean I chased her? It was clearly her chasing me… Ow, that hurts…”
Phia listened to Bal’s nonsense, then she stimulated Bal’s leg with magic. She puffed out her chest and began to tell her story with Bal.
“Let me tell you, the first time Bal saw me, we fought to the death. Later, I lost, he stripped me naked, and when he saw how beautiful I was, he immediately said he would take responsibility for me.”
“Eh? Really?”
Nia looked at Bal in disbelief. She knew from childhood that Bal was very mischievous, but she didn’t expect that he would become even worse and start stripping girls’ clothes.
Bal saw that Nia had misunderstood him, and quickly began to explain.
“I did fight with Phia, but I was exterminating the Demon King at that time! Who knew that such strong Demon King Armor contained such a cute catgirl. Besides, weren’t you wearing clothes when I was dismantling the Demon King Armor? And it was you who first begged me to take responsibility.”
“Ehey~”
Hearing Bal’s explanation, Phia made a cute expression, trying to get away with it. But Nia, who heard the truth, was dumbfounded.
“Ah? Sister-in-law is the Demon King?”
“Yes, to be precise, the Former Demon King, after all, in the Demon Race’s records, I should be considered a glorious martyr.”
Hearing Phia casually say such shocking words, Nia was dumbfounded. She had heard that Bal had defeated the Demon King, but she didn’t expect him to be so accomplished, to have won the Demon King over as his sister-in-law.
“So you feigned death to conceal your sister-in-law’s identity?”
Nia turned to ask Bal, she wanted to know why Bal had to feign death and disappear.
Bal looked at Phia, she nodded, then looked back at Nia and began to tell the story of their betrayal and battle in Temur City. Nia listened to Bal’s story, her face first surprised, then angry, and finally she hugged Phia.
“I didn’t expect that Sister-in-law had suffered so much injustice and hardship. Come, let me pat your head.”
Phia was trapped in Nia’s F-cup breasts, the immense softness made her breathless, she struggled hard, until Nia finished patting her head before she was free.
“Are all the people who grew up in your orphanage so strong?”
Phia panted and began to complain about Nia. At this time, Bal spoke.
“I’m not, I didn’t, don’t talk nonsense. By the way, Nia, do you have a place to stay? If not, stay here. This house is quite big, it’s a bit empty with just the two of us.”
“With three meals a day?”
“You have to earn your own food expenses, but I can cover your meals for these few days.”
“Yay! Bal is the best!”
So Bal and Phia took Nia into a guest room, Nia saw the bed and jumped on it, then started rolling around on the bed. After rolling around a few times, Nia sat up and looked at the two of them.
“Speaking of which, I still don’t know how to call you two outside.”
“Phia’s alias is Fei’er, my alias is Buck. At home, you can call us however you like, but you must pay attention to the way you address us when going out.”
“Pfft… Buck, sounds silly, like a guy who will self-destruct.”
“You feel that way too, I said so at the time, and he didn’t believe me.”
Hearing Nia’s ridicule of Bal’s alias, Phia leaned over, her face showing the expression of finding a kindred spirit. Only Bal stood aside, looking like a lackey.
“By the way, you two are dressed so nicely today, are you going out later?”
“Yes, today is the second day of the Light Moon Festival, and there are many amusement activities in the Town Square in the afternoon. Do you want to come out with us?”
“No, I’ve been traveling for almost ten days, I need to rest well. Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of the house, you guys go out and have fun, remember to bring me some food when you come back.”
Hearing Nia’s refusal of his invitation and her lazy look lying on the bed, Bal didn’t say much more, then he went out with Phia.
They walked towards the Town Square, the street now had more people than usual, after all, it was the second day of the festival, it was supposed to be lively.
At this time, a familiar voice came from behind them.
“Mr. Buck, Miss Fei’er, what a coincidence, are you shopping too?”
The two turned around, the owner of the voice was Sera, she was holding Reynard’s hand, and using her other hand to greet the two.
“It’s Sera and Reynard, it seems you two are on a date?”
Bal directly stated his thoughts, Sera and Reynard blushed at the same time. It seems Bal guessed right.
“Senior Buck, I just came back from the archery stall in front, they’re having a promotion, do you want to try it?”
Reynard awkwardly changed the subject, Bal understood what he meant, he wanted to continue his date with Sera. So Bal wisely held Phia’s hand, said goodbye to the two and came to the archery stall.
“Would the two guests like to try? Hitting different targets can get different points, and points can be exchanged for prizes.”
The shopkeeper enthusiastically solicited the two, he didn’t know that he was about to be fleeced by these two until he was bankrupt.
“Oh? Sounds interesting, how much is it?”
“Three copper coins for one arrow, ten copper coins for five arrows.”
“Then let’s have five arrows.”
“Thank you for your patronage.”
The shopkeeper took out five arrows and handed them to Bal, Bal gave three to Phia.
“Do you want to try?”
“Yay!”
Phia took the bow and arrow, she drew the bow and arrow with an extremely standard posture, and after aiming, she shot the arrow. Phia’s first arrow went out, then missed the target in the middle, and stuck in the ground far away.
Bal patted her head and encouraged her to continue.
Phia shot a second arrow, which also missed the target. At this point, Phia was a little discouraged, Bal saw her dejected expression, so he took the bow, aimed, and shot his first arrow. Sure enough, it was off. Bal’s mouth twitched, revealing a Dragon King smile.
“Guests, don’t be anxious, you can shoot at the closer targets first.”
The shopkeeper rubbed his hands and walked to the two, his smile still so confident. However, the invincible Bal had already figured out the shopkeeper’s tricks.
Bal handed the bow to Phia, then he began his amazing performance. Bal stood behind Phia, correcting Phia’s aim hand-in-hand, then he and Phia drew the bow together, after helping Phia determine the target, Bal and Phia simultaneously released their hands from the bowstring. The arrow drew an arc in the air, then landed straight in the center of the farthest target.
The shopkeeper was dumbfounded, he had tampered with each arrow’s feathers, it was impossible for ordinary people to hit the distant target, but Bal not only hit it, but he hit it together with Phia.
Just as the shopkeeper was still surprised, Bal took the bow into his own hands. He pinched the arrow feather, then calculated the trajectory in his mind, drew the bow, nocked the arrow, and released the arrow, his movements smooth and flowing, like an extremely skilled archer. The arrow flew out, and also stuck in the center of the farthest target.
Bal wiped his nose, his cool move just now captivated Phia. Phia hugged Bal’s arm and praised Bal loudly.
“Buck is so amazing!”
“It’s nothing.”
Bal stood proudly, two arrows hitting the farthest target, the points he earned allowed him to choose any prize. He looked at the dazzling array of things in the prize area, then pointed at a kitten doll, signaling to the shopkeeper that he wanted to choose this as a reward.
The shopkeeper reluctantly took the kitten doll and handed it to Bal, Bal then gave the doll to Phia, he watched Phia holding the doll excitedly, and he smiled contentedly.
Bal wanted to continue, but was stopped by the shopkeeper beside him. The shopkeeper couldn’t stand Bal’s tossing around, he was just making some small money, and he didn’t expect to meet such a divine being. Seeing the shopkeeper’s pained expression, Bal happily left with Phia.
Afterwards, they played various games along the way, leaving a deep psychological shadow on all the small stall owners at the festival. His deeds also became a legend in the town, saying that a couple successfully made every shopkeeper lose money at all the entertainment stalls of the Light Moon Festival.
As the sky darkened, Bal and Phia returned home with bags and bags of things. They put most of the prizes they won in their own room, then Bal carried a bag of prizes to Nia’s room.
“Wake up, it’s night.”
“Mmm… Let me sleep a little longer…”
Bal poked Nia’s face to wake her up, Nia turned over and wanted to continue sleeping. Bal had no choice but to use the trick from his childhood.
“Nia, dinner’s ready.”
This simple sentence instantly woke Nia up, she sat up, saw Bal’s mischievous smile, just as she was about to get angry, Bal handed her the bag.
“What’s this?”
“The prizes Phia and I won at the festival this afternoon, I specially picked out what you like.”
Nia looked at the dolls and headwear in the bag, her face blooming with joy, she got up and hugged Bal, and kissed him on the face. This action made Phia a little unhappy, although she knew it was just a brother-sister’s affectionate gesture, but she still couldn’t help but feel jealous.
“Ahem, after you wake up, hurry and wash up, we’re going out to eat tonight.”
“Sister-in-law, you wouldn’t be jealous, would you? Don’t worry, I won’t compete with you for a man.”
“Who’s jealous!”
“Good, good. I’m going to wash my face~”
Nia patted Phia’s head and quickly ran away before Phia could react.
Bal watched their interaction and laughed happily, then he was severely vented on by Phia, who couldn’t find anyone else to vent on.
When Nia came back, she found Bal rubbing his arm, she glanced at Phia, who was looking away, and immediately understood what had happened, then she asked at the door.
“What are we eating tonight?”
Bal looked at Nia and thought about how to get back at her, so Bal showed an evil expression. Phia was startled by this expression, she thought Bal was going to take revenge on her, so she quickly hugged Bal’s arm and started acting cute.
“I’ll take you to eat something delicious tonight, don’t ask, just eat.”
So the three of them walked together on the night street, they walked to the square, Bal pointed to a hot pot restaurant, which was where Bal planned to get back at Nia.
The three walked into the hot pot restaurant, they each ordered their favorite meat and vegetables, at this time Bal took Nia’s bowl to himself.
“After a long journey, let your brother help you make the dipping sauce.”
“Oh, Mr. Buck is so thoughtful.”
“Fei’er, let’s go together.”
“Okay~”
Bal took Phia to the seasoning area, after preparing his own sauce, he whispered to Phia.
“Hehe, do you know what Nia hates? It’s cilantro. Nia hates the taste of cilantro, she won’t speak after eating it.”
Phia listened to Bal revealing Nia’s weakness and smiled contentedly. From now on, if this little sister-in-law dared to tease her again, she would make cilantro dishes for Nia.
After preparing Nia’s sauce, Bal sprinkled a lethal amount of cilantro for her on it. Then he accompanied Phia back to his seat. He put the bowl of sauce with cilantro in front of Nia, Nia’s face turned green, Bal was delighted, Nia raised her head and forced a smile.
“Thank you very much for my brother’s kindness.”
Seeing Nia’s embarrassed look, the couple were very happy, then Bal picked the cilantro out of Nia’s bowl and put it into his own, as long as Nia showed an embarrassed expression, after all, food is innocent, and waste is shameful.
“Don’t do this next time.”
“I know.”
Nia lowered her head and apologized seriously. At this time, Bal raised his wine cup, he invited Nia and Phia to toast.
“To our reunion, and to this festival!”
“Cheers!”
After toasting, the three began to eat happily.
Just as the three were eating happily, a drunken drunkard walked to their side.
“Hey, young man, you’re pretty lucky. Can your two female companions keep me company for a drink?”
This drunkard, relying on his tall and muscular build, struck a muscle-showing pose, trying to intimidate Bal.
Bal was about to draw the short sword from his waist when Nia stopped him. She walked in front of the drunkard and poured wine into the drunkard’s wine cup. The drunkard happily took a sip, then fell to the ground unconscious.
“Humph, he can’t even drink this much, such a small fry.”
Nia pouted and returned to her seat. Phia looked at Nia questioningly, then at the drunkard on the ground. At this time, Bal began to explain.
“She just gave that drunkard divine wine she transformed with magic, ordinary people would immediately fall unconscious after drinking it, this guy will probably be unconscious for several days.”
“Okay, okay, let’s not mind this small fry, let’s continue eating, brother, sister-in-law.”
“Okay!”
“Let’s eat, let’s eat!”
In this way, Nia prevented a bloody incident. They chatted while eating, and then supported each other home.
The second day of the Light Moon Festival ended like this.
