Ch 15: Mother’s Views on Love Education
“Sleep here for now.” Huo Xingye’s expression was normal, but his tense body betrayed his discomfort. “Later, I’ll have someone renovate it and leave a bedroom specifically for you.”
Being thought of by her son made Gu Qingyin very happy. “Do Huo Xinghai and Huo Xingchen also have their own bedrooms?”
Huo Xingye shook his head. “After we became adults, we lived separately.”
Gu Qingyin sighed inwardly. The relationship between the three brothers didn’t seem as close as she thought. She didn’t continue to ask, and raised her smiling face, saying, “Thank you, son. Go to sleep early.”
The tips of Huo Xingye’s ears were a little red, but he calmly nodded. “Good night.”
Gu Qingyin didn’t have the habit of being unable to sleep in a new bed. After washing up, she wrapped herself in a bathrobe and went to sleep, sleeping incredibly comfortably until dawn.
When she woke up the next day, she saw a message from Huo Xingye in her phone. New clothes had already been delivered and were hanging on the doorknob outside.
Gu Qingyin smiled warmly and got up to wash up.
After getting ready, she opened the door and wanted to go downstairs, but unexpectedly, she heard a muffled sound from the room at the end of the corridor.
Huo Xingye’s sick friend was staying in that room. It would have been fine if there was no sound, but since she heard it, she naturally couldn’t ignore it.
Gu Qingyin walked over and knocked on the door, softly asking, “Hello, do you need any help?”
The room was silent.
Gu Qingyin waited a few seconds, but didn’t speak again. She was sure that her volume was enough for the person inside to hear. Since there was no response, they probably didn’t want her to go in.
Gu Qingyin shrugged and turned to leave.
When she went downstairs, Huo Xingye happened to be coming out with porridge. “Come and eat.”
Gu Qingyin was surprised. “You made it?”
“Yes, I don’t cook much. Just eat a little.” Huo Xingye put down the porridge. “If you don’t think it’s good, buy something on the way.”
Gu Qingyin sat down, took a deep breath, and said with a smile in her eyes, “To be able to eat my son’s loving breakfast early in the morning, I must be the happiest mother in the world!”
Huo Xingye’s ears turned red, and he turned his head uncomfortably. “Don’t praise me with that kind of tone you use to praise children.”
Gu Qingyin raised her eyebrows. “I know you’re grown up, but you’re still my son, no matter how old you are.”
Huo Xingye couldn’t refute it. He went back to the kitchen and brought out another bowl of porridge, sitting across from Gu Qingyin and eating silently.
“That’s right. Breakfast is very important, you can’t skip it.” Gu Qingyin nodded in satisfaction, and then, after taking another bite, remembered the person upstairs. “Your friend should be awake too. Do you want to send him a bowl?”
Huo Xingye paused. “No need. Auntie will come over later and cook nutritious porridge.”
Gu Qingyin didn’t care anymore, casually saying, “I don’t know if your friend is aloof or shy. I knocked on the door and talked to him, but he didn’t say a word.”
Huo Xingye calmly drank his porridge. “Maybe he hasn’t heard your voice before and was suddenly startled.”
Gu Qingyin widened her eyes. “His courage is too small, isn’t it?” She frowned, analyzing from a professional perspective, “It’s normal to be timid, but if you’re always jumpy and afraid even when people talk to you, it may be caused by an unstable soul. Do you want me to take a look at your friend?”
Huo Xingye smiled. “Not for now. Let him rest for a few days, and if he’s still not better by then, I’ll have you take a look.”
Gu Qingyin nodded. “Call me anytime if you need anything. Don’t be polite.”
After breakfast, Gu Qingyin directly took Huo Xingye’s car to the company. Bored on the way, she casually opened the company’s gossip group and saw the clarification information in the group announcement.
Gu Qingyin subway, old man, looking at phone. Then suddenly realized, speechless, these people’s imaginations are too big!
After sighing, Gu Qingyin’s gossipy heart suddenly rose. “Son, do you have a girl you like? Did you write love letters when you were in school? Are you still… a virgin?”
As she spoke, she couldn’t help but worry. Logically speaking, a boy’s knowledge of physiological hygiene should be taught by his father, but her child’s father died early. Reluctantly, the mother can step up too.
Huo Xingye was stunned, and a suspicious blush appeared on his face. He coughed lightly awkwardly. “I graduated after skipping grades. The people in my class were all much older than me. I haven’t written love letters, and I haven’t…”
He couldn’t say it, but Gu Qingyin understood.
She patted her son’s shoulder, earnestly instructing, “You must remember to respect and cherish girls, otherwise you may be single for the rest of your life.”
Gu Qingyin thought of the dominant president novels she had read before, and emphasized, “Never, ever do anything like forced love. That will only push the person you like further and further away.”
Huo Xingye vaguely thought that she knew something, but upon closer inspection, she seemed to just be discussing the matter on its own merits.
Huo Xingye silently nodded.
Gu Qingyin seemed to have found the joy of educating her child and continued, “When you can’t help but want to be intimate with your girlfriend, remember to take safety measures! Most importantly, before officially starting, you must ask for your girlfriend’s consent! If she is even a little unwilling, you cannot continue!”
Huo Xingye was helpless. What kind of person did Gu Qingyin take him for?
“Remember?”
Huo Xingye: “…I remember.”
Gu Qingyin nodded in satisfaction. “After you’re together, you must remember all kinds of holidays and anniversaries clearly. The gifts and surprises that should be arranged cannot be missed. What girls value most is a sense of ritual! This represents how much you care about her!”
Huo Xingye listened to these words and nodded in response. “Okay.”
“And the most important point!” Gu Qingyin’s face was full of seriousness. “You must remain loyal during the relationship and consciously keep your distance from other women, giving your girlfriend enough security!”
“If the feelings fade, say it as soon as possible. Men who use not loving as an excuse to cheat are the most disgusting.” Gu Qingyin didn’t know what she was thinking of, and said disdainfully, “It’s hard to find a three-legged toad, but there are men with two legs all over the street.”
Huo Xingye: “…I understand.”
Gu Qingyin pondered, was there anything else she hadn’t said properly? Sigh, she’d talk about it when she remembered later.
Huo Xingye breathed a sigh of relief. This topic was finally over. He was now just thankful, thankful that he was driving today, otherwise there would be one more driver in the world who had been fired.
Huo Xingye stepped on the brakes and waited for the red light. Gu Qingyin in the passenger seat suddenly opened her mouth again. “Son, what kind of girl do you like?”
Huo Xingye: …
When the mother and son rode the elevator up to the sixteenth floor, all the employees who had met Huo Xingye felt a sense that the President must have worked overtime last night! He’s so tired that his eyes are dull! As employees, they must not hold the President back!
Grind! Everyone grind!
On this day, Huo Corporation employees burst out with unprecedented work enthusiasm, well… it didn’t last long, though.
Gu Qingyin didn’t encounter Bai Jiali this morning and was a little regretful. Occasionally watching a moron be foolish while thinking they’re being clever is also quite interesting.
But she didn’t expect that Bai Jiali would be a dark horse, and would give her a big pile of c*ap!
