Ch 126: Going Home

The work at the Soft Pack Company wasn’t finished yet, but it was nearing completion. Xiao Yao supervised the work all afternoon. After the other party finished all the work, she carefully inspected it before paying the final payment. The other party then gave a free housekeeping cleaning service.

Several cleaning ladies quickly and efficiently cleaned the two-story villa inside and out. Coincidentally, the delivery person from the flower shop delivered fresh flowers and plants. After Xiao Yao personally arranged them, everything was ready.

The next morning, Jiang Lufang arrived early with simple luggage, to take care of Xiao Letao, and also to stay with them temporarily.

As soon as the car turned into the welfare institution’s courtyard, Xiao Yao saw Director Zhang from afar, holding Fubao, dressed in red like a child from a New Year’s painting, and a caregiver standing beside them, holding a one-year-old Yingbao.

Before the car had come to a complete stop, Xiao Yao impatiently unbuckled her seatbelt. Zhuang Lingyun had just turned off the car’s engine when Xiao Yao immediately opened the door and got out, hurrying towards Director Zhang.

Director Zhang beamed, leading the small Fubao forward, “Miss Xiao, we’ve been waiting for you. Fubao woke up before five o’clock this morning, put on her new clothes, and has been sitting at the door eagerly waiting for you.”

Director Zhang saw Xiao Yao’s expression and felt relieved. She turned around, crouched beside Fubao, and held her small hand in her palm, “Fubao, look, Director Zhang didn’t lie to you, did she? Now you can rest assured, right?”

Fubao nodded vigorously, then smiled at Xiao Yao with anticipation, “Sister.”

“You can’t call her sister,” Director Zhang immediately corrected disapprovingly. “Fubao, you have to call her Mama, understand? And you should call this gentleman Papa, remember?”

Fubao nodded. Her eyes, shining brightly as the brightest stars in the night sky, looked at Xiao Yao and forcefully said, “I understand!”

Xiao Yao’s heart softened like cotton. Taking Fubao’s hand, she said to Director Zhang, “We’ve given the child a name, Yannian. From now on, he will be called Zhuang Yannian.”

Director Zhang nodded with a smile, “Yes, I know. Mr. Zhuang already told me. I just slipped up. Yingbao’s name is Letao, right? Oh, I’m so happy. These two unfortunate children can be with you; I’m really so happy. Leaving here, they will surely be happy.”

Xiao Yao then took Xiao Letao from the caregiver’s arms, and Zhuang Lingyun took Zhuang Yannian’s hand.

Xiao Yao looked at Xiao Letao’s large, dark eyes, long, curled eyelashes, like a doll. She was wearing a festive red outfit, with a drool bib around her chubby neck, and drool constantly trickling from the corners of her mouth— truly adorable.

Xiao Yao had no experience holding babies and was very careful, afraid of accidentally hurting her.

Perhaps because of growing up in the orphanage, Xiao Letao was not at all shy. Once in Xiao Yao’s arms, she used her small hands to touch Xiao Yao’s earrings, a sparkling pink diamond.

Xiao Yao chuckled and rubbed her nose against Xiao Letao’s, “Baby, do you like it? If you like it, I’ll give it to you.”

Xiao Letao laughed happily, waving her little hands, her mouth drooling, amusing everyone present.

When saying goodbye, Director Zhang said reluctantly, “Miss Xiao, I entrust the two children to you.”

“Director Zhang, please rest assured. As soon as we get home, I’ll send you videos of the two children, and I’ll also send you our address. As I said before, you’re welcome to visit anytime.”

Director Zhang smiled and waved goodbye to them. She stood there for a long time even after the car was out of sight.

The drive home was smooth. When they arrived, Jiang Lufang was already waiting at the door, eagerly looking forward to their return. As soon as they came back, she immediately greeted them.

As soon as the car door opened, she reached out first to take Letao from Xiao Yao’s arms, examining the little one, exclaiming repeatedly, “This baby is so beautiful! Look at those big, dark eyes.”

Then she quickly peered into the car to look at the other child.

At this time, Zhuang Lingyun had already gotten out of the car and carried Yannian from the other side, coming to Jiang Lufang, “Mom, this is Yannian. From now on, they are both our children.”

The nanny’s surname was Huang, about the same age as Jiang Lufang. Seeing the family return, she immediately came forward. Her main task was to take care of Yannian, so her eyes first fell on the well-behaved and pretty little girl in Zhuang Lingyun’s arms.

Looking at Xiao Yao standing beside Zhuang Lingyun, and then at Xiao Letao, she was quite surprised. This family had such amazing looks; everyone was so beautiful. She then thought sadly that such a beautiful young couple couldn’t have children of their own, what a pity.

The children’s room was beautifully decorated. Especially the clothes in that whole room; seeing them was shocking. It really takes extreme pampering to achieve this level!

After the family and the nanny had gotten acquainted, Xiao Yao took Letao and Yannian to their room to familiarize themselves with the environment. Then, as agreed, she filmed a video of the two babies playing with toys in their room and sent it to Director Zhang to reassure her.
