Ch 164: Pink Butterflies

When Xiao Shuai finished dealing with the other cities’ planes that arrived later and returned to the battlefield, he discovered everyone was dead. The ground was covered in corpses and severed limbs; black veins bulged on Xiao Shuai’s forehead.

Luo Jiayou, his life force depleted, lay motionless on the ground. Three people stood on the battlefield; despite numerous battles, they still radiated abundant energy.

Without hesitation, the blood surrounding Xiao Shuai rapidly flew towards them.

But under Xu Xiao’s Special Ability, the blood vanished completely.

“Flight Prohibition.”

Xia Yida’s face showed no fear. Under the questioning gazes of Xu Xiao and the others, Xia Yida rushed forward, shielding them.

Yu Yin didn’t hesitate. The repeated failure of her Special Ability today made her feel enraged. She felt an inexplicable aversion to the actress blocking them.

Instant Death activated. Xia Yida’s frail body fell. Her expression held a faint smile, unlike the fear of others before death.

A vast amount of Energy spilled from Xia Yida’s body, like a summer breeze through a flower field, carrying warmth and Fragrance.

They seemed to see a faint pink; this pink Energy was rapidly enveloping the City.

It gently soothed the City. The black Energy seemed to soften, being steadily pushed towards the City Center by the pink Energy, no longer spreading.

The speed increased. The black Energy began to enter Ji Chuan’s body. The City no longer blew sand-laden winds; the desolate City returned to calm.

The three exchanged glances. This phenomenon was strange, but dealing with Number 1 was the priority. They continued towards the City Center.

A Black Shadow quickly appeared behind them. They didn’t even have time to identify it.

Ji Chuan gently lifted Xia Yida’s body.

“I’m sorry, Yida. I deceived you.”

He looked around the battlefield, feeling the loss of his companions’ lives. Tears streamed down Ji Chuan’s face; he suddenly realized he could cry.

His lips trembled slightly. A tremendous roar echoed through the heavens. A black pillar of light enveloped Ji Chuan’s body, reaching the clouds. The sky instantly darkened like night.

Xu Xiao stared in terror at the legendary Number 1. The terrifying Imposing Aura emanating from the Monster nearly made her kneel.

She formed a triangle with her hands and unleashed her maximum Energy – Wu.

But Ji Chuan didn’t react. He carried Xia Yida’s corpse and flew to a distant, clean lawn. Xia Yida looked as if she was simply asleep, perhaps dreaming a pleasant dream.

Ji Chuan gently wiped away the remaining tears from Xia Yida’s eyes.

Almost instantly, Ji Chuan reappeared before Xu Xiao and the others.

The blindfolded man removed his blindfold. A pair of striking, cyan eyes appeared; the surroundings transformed into a boundless gray expanse.

“Invulnerable Domain deployed.”

Everyone in the Domain seemed to be paused. After discovering their Special Abilities were ineffective against Ji Chuan, Xu Xiao’s expression was one of extreme terror. Yu Yin was already on the ground.

The cyan-eyed man remained calm. He walked towards the still Ji Chuan, preparing to gently touch Ji Chuan’s forehead – Instant Death within the Invulnerable Domain.

But upon approaching, he saw a smile on Ji Chuan’s face. Ji Chuan grabbed his neck.

The man’s eyes were full of disbelief, as if he couldn’t understand what was happening.

The gray Domain gradually faded. Before them was a boundless dark red sky, lava, rough rocks – like Hell.

The man strangling himself was like a Hellish King. He stood before a throne made of unknown creatures’ skulls, examining him with interest.

“You can still release a Domain within my Forbidden Domain? Worthy of a Single-Colored Crystal Core Holder.”

Under his terrified gaze, Ji Chuan lifted his head and put it in his mouth, chewing heartily. “Delicious.”

Only half of the man’s head remained, like a tattered cloth thrown to the ground by Ji Chuan.

“Your turn.”

Xu Xiao and Yu Yin screamed. They watched in horror as the powerful warrior they had fought alongside moments ago became a Corpse.

The Monster’s eyes were entirely dark red. He looked at the two with greedy eyes.

His strong arm reached out. Xu Xiao and Yu Yin awaited the end of their lives in despair.

Perhaps, they shouldn’t have accepted this Task.
