Ch 265: The Dwarf Race’s New Idol
After the Dwarf Race’s God rested, Ji Chuan transferred Theodore to the Dwarf Kingdom, preparing to release Theodore from his Slave Contract.
After realizing what Ji Chuan was about to do, a hint of panic appeared on Theodore’s face. He knelt on one knee, his voice somewhat urgent.
“Master, please do not release my Slave Contract!”
Ji Chuan looked at Theodore’s reddened eyes with some bewilderment.
“Why?”
“I have always revered the God of Faith, Lord. You saved the entire kingdom during the war, and you overthrew the noble family vermin who corrupted the kingdom. Without you, my Father King might have already died in battle against the Foreign Races, or fallen victim to the schemes of the Powerful Aristocrats.”
“Without you, there would be no peaceful Olovia today! As a member of Olovia’s Royal Bloodline, I am eternally grateful for your efforts. Please accept my Loyalty, and allow me to offer you my wholehearted devotion!”
After saying these words, Theodore kowtowed heavily, fearing that Ji Chuan would continue to release the Slave Contract, severing the connection between them.
Ji Chuan was somewhat surprised, not expecting Theodore to have such awareness.
Gai Jieming, standing to the side, furrowed his brows, seemingly lost in thought.
The Dwarf Race’s God naturally approved of this proposal. Releasing the Slave Contract would consume a large amount of his Magic Power. While he could do it consecutively, he would be very fatigued.
Ji Chuan pulled Theodore up. Upon touching Ji Chuan’s hand, a blush rose on Theodore’s cheeks. This was the first time he had made physical contact with the God of Faith, Lord.
The sensation sent a ripple through the young man’s heart. It was even more blissful than shaking hands with an idol, perhaps due to the effects of the Slave Contract; Theodore felt dopamine surging to his head.
Bodily contact at the age of first love leaves the deepest memories.
Gai Jieming stepped forward. “God of Faith, Lord, since our God has become your Subordinate God, to express my loyalty, I too can establish a Slave Contract with you.”
He subtly pulled away the hand Theodore had held, then kissed it again, kneeling on one knee before Theodore.
Ji Chuan frowned. This Dwarf King had always puzzled him. Was kissing the back of the hand a Dwarf Race cultural custom? Were it not for the completely different physique and face, the eagerness to become a slave made him think of Mao Jun.
“There’s no need. I will protect the Dwarf Race. You and your God can announce this matter; I only hope you will have faith in me. There’s no need to become slaves.”
Ji Chuan quickly withdrew his hand. Although somewhat displeased, he couldn’t say anything to such a sincere Dwarf King. He decided to keep his distance from Gai Jieming in the future.
“Since Theodore, you don’t want it released, then forget it. I will protect you.”
Theodore was overjoyed. He also wanted to offer a kiss to the God of Faith, Lord, like the Dwarf King, but there was no suitable opportunity, and he felt quite envious.
Releasing the Slave Contract was very time-consuming. If Ji Chuan were to release it, he would have to stay here for an entire day. Since Theodore’s desire to keep it was so strong, he would leave it as it was. Ordering him to live freely was no different.
The Dwarf Race’s God breathed a sigh of relief, having dodged a significant task.
Gai Jieming and the Dwarf Race’s God moved to a more open area. Behind them, a Dwarf Mage raised his staff, and several Audio-Visual Projections of the two of them lit up throughout the kingdom.
Ji Chuan watched curiously, not expecting the Dwarves’ magical talent to be so powerful; this ability was very similar to an enhanced Audio-Visual Projection.
“Citizens of the Human Race, today we welcome the God of Faith, Lord, to protect our kingdom. He has unified the Beastmen, Humans, Goblins, Elf Race, and Blood Clan.”
“Our Human Race will also advance the process of unification. Under the protection of the God of Faith, Lord, our kingdom will surely become even more prosperous!”
Ji Chuan frowned slightly. The Dwarf Race had many people, but after the announcement, not much Faith Power appeared.
But this was within his expectations. Although he had reason to subdue their God, he had not provided any help to the Dwarf Race’s citizens.
Under the objective conditions of a comfortable life and abundant Supplies, the Dwarf Race’s citizens did not care who was in power; they had become accustomed to their affluent lives.
Changing the ruler might even have the opposite effect. Fortunately, their God was also in the projection; otherwise, it might have caused unnecessary panic.
“God of Faith, Lord!”
Gai Jieming flatteringly invited Ji Chuan into the projection, allowing the citizens to catch a glimpse of the God of Faith, Lord’s countenance.
Ji Chuan sighed and walked over awkwardly. His face appeared in numerous projections throughout the kingdom.
What’s going on? Ji Chuan felt the Faith Power steadily rising!
In places unseen by Ji Chuan, a crowd of Dwarf Race citizens went wild. This new God perfectly matched their aesthetic preferences!
He had the height of a basketball star but the face of an idol!
“God of Faith, Lord, I want to bear your children!”
“From now on, I’m a fan of the God of Faith, Lord!”
“You men scram! Don’t compete with us little fairies for the God of Faith, Lord. The God of Faith, Lord, clearly looks straight!”
“You brutes, don’t scare our sweet and soft God of Faith, Lord! Such a cute boy definitely belongs to us boys!”
If Ji Chuan could hear the citizens’ discussion, his expression would certainly be interesting. In a wealthy City, people would not focus on survival but on other aspects.
For example, the pursuit of beauty.
What happened? Just showing his face increased so much Faith Power?
“Ahem… Citizens of the Human Race, hello, I am the God of Faith. The Human Race kingdom is the most prosperous and rapidly developing nation I have seen so far, thanks to the efforts of each and every one of you.”
“As your new God, I will work with the original God to provide you with even more protection. In the not-too-distant future, I believe I will create a kingdom of diverse races. I hope we can all work together for peace and prosperity. I love you.”
After Ji Chuan finished speaking, cheers erupted from the City.
“Ah! Brother, kill me!! Brother said he loves me!!”
“Get the God of Faith, Lord, merchandise puppeteers ready! Commission fanart, all of it!”
“Anyone else shipping the two Gods? They look great together!”
A large crowd at the foot of the mountain began rushing towards the Gate of the palace. They wanted to see the idol’s beauty up close.
“He’s really here! The God of Faith, Lord!”
The dust stirred up by the surging crowd made Ji Chuan feel terrified; he felt like a lamb thrown into a pack of wolves.
“This is too dangerous! Everyone step back. I would be saddened if my citizens were injured because they came to see me.”
Ji Chuan smiled, causing the crowd to scream again. He was about to take Theodore and escape when…
A new Vortex Gate appeared in the distance.
Ji Chuan breathed a sigh of relief. This was exactly what he needed.
